Took one fiber out of a sheet of carbon fiber and tried to light it. It didn't burn, melt or oxidize!

Think about this set up:
PJ - augmentor - ramjet
The augmentor will produce a cooler, oxygen-richer and more constant flow to feed the ramjet.
