Re: See through jet
Matiz, Excelent! Just a quick note to concure with everyone else, great effort. As you have mentioned, it is a perfect candidate for a "Rosscojector". I would do away with the sparkler though. Use the injector as i do, ease it into the intake as a burner nozzle, let it warm the CC and increase flow ...

Re: Death of jetZILLA Predicted
Har Har! (with beer in hand Mike) (bowing smiley, if there is one) I agree with Matiz, how could they possibly justify the expence or time to even disect your responce for such an absurd claim? Death of Jetzilla, I hardly think so. At the very least, you could stretch it out for Jetzilla's full life...

WOW. Thanx again Viv.
That was great to watch live, and indeed, he made it and looked easy.
Congratulations to all involved, and thank you for sharing it with the world.

Re: Rocket man again
Thanx for posting this Viv. Im having trouble with time conversions (per usual). What time zone is the site working in? As far as i have found, if its French, its one hour before England? Hence, it will take him 1hr and 12mins... ;) I am GMT+10 hrs, so it is 8:00 or 9:00 pm Aussie? A segment was jus...

Hey guys, Just thought i would mention here that i have uploaded one of my early SLI runs to youtube. This was really just a test on what i could do with youtube, and thought a PJ was as good a file as any to put up. For others than the few who have seen an SLI run, enjoy, and those that have... slo...

Re: Rossco's big engine?
Hey guys. And again this pic gets dredged up! hahahaha That engine did run, although not well in terms of thrust. It was amid my intake madness progress, breathing was very poor, and never progressed past "Rosscojector" running. But heat! that thing put out so much heat that i melted the contents of...

Hey Ash, lookin good! Per usual. In need of a rendering? Still cant get over the accuracy you pull of with your method. Ha, what happens when you want to go full scale? Just hire out a movie theater. Give me a yell on skype anytime, i dont have aim running on this new machine, it'd be good to have a...

Hey guys. Well, that machine scares the crap out of me! more even than an average gyro! My mate flies them, and i do remember that he said something along the lines of 200lbs thrust was about the practical/usefull limit in flight for a small one...... something like that, it seems kinda low to me, a...

(im not getting involved in this one) Just remind me what thrust the propane nozzle ALONE has? That still impresses me, amizing engines, and a mind boggleing amount of work has gone into them to get them were they are. You can only give it to the people, original designer and ones that have come aft...

Generaly in this style of engine, the angled piece of the intake that attaches to the CC is refered to as the "transition". As far as i have seen, it doesnt make a great deal of difference to the accoustic length of the intake. I would just use 5.5" as the overall length of the intake and transition...

Good one Jutte, that should make for a clear idea on optimum fuel setup. No, you dont need the ball or needle valve in there, although i would say that it does look like the perfect setup. The tank valves will do, mostly all I use, although the 90 deg ball valve is an excellent idea for very quick s...

Thanx guys, and you James for sharing those. Just one thing i have to note on that vid. That was the maiden of that plane, and in very light lift... By the end of the day i was really starting to pull some speed out of it, and throwing it around more in general with inverted passes and the like. Tod...
