Re: Subsonic Ramjet Design Project
Slap Hazard, am going to chime in here with just a few questions and comments.... 1 what are the areas of the inlet and the nozzle? 2 what is the area of your flame holder? 3 where and how are you injecting you fuel? 4 what are you going to use for fuel? 5 as Mike pointed out for a rectagular design...

Re: Heads up re Glue 130R
Hi Tufty, I've sent you a PM, but suffice it to say I'll post some static images first (once the shop finishes a vital part needed to finish building it). It should take 2-3 weeks to finish building her and get the images up here at Pulse-Jets.com, and then a week or so for the video (depending on t...

Heads up re Glue 130R
Hey folks, just a quick heads up re INSIDE diameters for your Glue 130R intakes: It seems that some different third stage throat diameters are being reported as the RQR plans don't give an exact measurement, but forces the purchaser (of the plans) to measure the distance then X 2. If the ID of the t...

Fixing the 130R
Going back to the original patent Gene based the claims for his engine while using round tubes for his sonic stack intake---> This being the case we can take a better look at the 130R. 75% of the area of the third intake requires the second stage to have an inside diameter of 3.625" and maybe + 1/64...

Re: Fish Tail
i think one of these is close to what Luc is saying ---but i've heard of two different reasons 1st ) makes the engine much easier to "throttle" --as the "fishtail" is of varying lenghts depending upon where one might measures it at any given throttle setting 2) the "fishtail" helps to elliminate the...

between the 1st and 2nd stages --extenion of the 1st stage into the 2nd stage is 1/4 of the leght of the 1st stage----the end of the 2nd stage "pipe" should extend into the "fluting" by 3/4ers its' length------eg if the fluting "R" of the third stage in were to = 1.0" the end of the second stage "pi...

Re: I need a good atomizer
are u using a stable grade oil like 30 weight? or multigradelike 10-40 or -20-50? if you are using something like 30 weight , it should "get thinner" with added heat ---adding heat to X degrees + enough back pressure might just reduce the your/ viscosity enough to "spray" into small enough droplets ...

daverdrums2 you-tube display
Hey Folks, the engine displayed on you-tube with the title "Pressure Jet night run, full throttle" seems to be (subjectively speaking) functioning quite well. how does one go about getting in touch with whom ever owns the engine to make inquiries about it? does anyone one know or have an idea how to...

Re: Just throwing this out there...
Wow! and Awesome! Going to inject some O2? Just small amounts at first when the engine is running at full throttle? or ? Building engine out of thicker material? Sounds great? I haven't experimented with O2 injection in my axial pressure jet yet , but if and or when I do I'm going to be behind 1/4" ...

isn't this a vortech engine? seems i saw the same film on their site ---the engine is obviously not running right --check out all the reflux / regurg. at the third stage-------that's mass flow not going out the back + flame is too "blue" running rich---proabably since they don't flute/ flare their i...
