Re: Problematic Pulse Jet!

Hi, Sorry I missed this one looking at the original date it was published ... For the valve, .25mm = .0098" which I don't think is too thick. In fact, I would say the valve is too thin for an engine that size. My pulse jet was probably 1/3 scale of your engine and it ran very well with .018" (.46mm)...

This injector was for my DIY turbine and it was placed right in the middle of the flame tube, right into the flame.

Re: M500 build log

How hot is the gasoline going to get? To answer this question, I will just point out that my injector/evaporator was designed so the major part of the outside tube stands in the combustion flame, thus, it should become VERY hot. Of coarse, the fluid flowing inside will contribute to drop that tempe...

Re: M500 build log

For I never work with gasoline nor this injector was design for. it's not like I'll run this thing often and long, and the ...

Re: M500 build log

how will vaporising gas create sutt? I thought that only happend when burned at a low temperature Because there is always a certain level of oxygen in any fluid. Although it would not allow and support combustion, it would create a form of oxydation and/or reaction, leaving residues inside. But hey...

Re: M500 build log

How's the build going? I'm curious on how you are going to design your fuel system. Fueling was always an issue with my big lockwoods. Keith Naaaaaaaa ... I've designed a very effective fuel evaporator/injector that he can find the drawings for in my gas turbine posting and use it for his big lockw...

Re: Need Help Identifying These Items

Hi, The two top pictures are of a valveless pulse jet and I think they call it a "Thermojet". The rest of the pictures shows regular valved pulse jets, with one picture showing the inside valve and valve plate. As for prices, look for similar engines on Ebay and this will give you what they are wort...
