Re: Motor Jets!

I noticed that not much was happening in the center of your CC. What do you think adding a cone or rod to fill the space would do?

Otherwise it looks really cool, or hot.

Re: plans

Could always crease it together like they do to make a trombone (gotta love how its made). Though I think with common tools connecting one roll to another would be hard.

You can make an ez sheetmetal brake with a few pieces of flat stock and some c-clamps

Re: Design Contest- Build your Dream Plane

After an hour of struggling with google sketchup, here is the EARLY stages of my design. Cant really figure out what I'm doing so all the curved surfaces came out flat, thus it looks like an F-117 lol

Design Contest- Build your Dream Plane

Need some help deciding on the rules but...

Design Contest- Design your own plane!! Sounds a bit too simple at the moment. All of us have access to some kind of computer design software, be it free google sketchup etc.

Draw up a dream plane of YOUR OWN DESIGN, try to make it flightworthy!!

Re: Wacky Weird and Way-unconventional idea

I remember reading that a freepower turbine has the most "power" at stall, I think Jon wrote it somewhere... Could we make this into the turbocharger style, where the RVC is powered by the freepower turbine. I recall in a turbine the compressor uses upwards of 60% of the available shaft power and th...

Re: Wacky Weird and Way-unconventional idea

OMG
Its the age old argument between auto experts!!!

Turbocharger vs supercharger...

Using exhaust to add compression (twin or multispool turbine) or using shaft power (the couldn't possibly work idea I posted)

imo: dragsters use superchargers and they are the fastest piston vehicles.

TY for responses, and now I know!

James do you have any more of his work Im having trouble searching patents. I find the ones label'd "weird pulsejet" are the most fun to explore.

Re: Wacky Weird and Way-unconventional idea

Problem found!! The backflow of high pressure... The 2 blade would backflow less often but more violently, a 6 blade would backflow more often but less violently. It may not be an issue, as the vanes would seal the pressure from escaping through the turbocharger's compressor. But the pressure change...
