Re: Project Turbo-Charger
Little update: Project Charger is being renamed project pain in my ass. Intake is off now to be machined for fittage (is that even a word....) and is getting set for a supercharger. Hood clearance was already and issue, now its just gonna get a giant scoop to hide my failures at math. It pouring rai...

Re: FD3/64-2:1!
Yeah I recall Shrecky saying something like if any hole were to be drilled through the disc it would fail prematurely. The little tool he describes to bend the blades is marvelous for random things around the shop!

Re: Project Turbo-Charger
Yeah really excited that they are finally doing a small block Chrysler on Horsepower, just wish I was able to give the body the same quality of care I can do to an engine.... An old car invokes a weird thing in my parents generation, they all grew up around them and its like taking them back to the ...

Re: Project Turbo-Charger
Mostly Datsun's and an old Chevy truck, one kid has a Saturn.
Its actually really slow right now, engine makes about 300hp and the car is heavy with only 3 gears.....Drives kinda like an SUV and since the suspension was setup for drag it body rolls worse than a boat

Project Turbo-Charger
Back in the summer I was told I need a mule vehicle to work on in auto-tech, I purchased a 1974 Dodge Charger 360. The 360 and tranny have been rebuilt and now the engine is about to get quite a power boost, from a turbo. Ill post pics of the progress but so far: engine rebuild tranny rebuild new ca...

Compressed Bio-Gas
Audi has an A4 that ran 227mph on this stuff, maybe there is something to it? Its the purified form of what crops in a no-oxygen environment emit while decomposing, similar to wood-gas in a gassifier. Its mostly Methane with a good chunk of CO2 in it aswell. Supposedly has an octane rating of up to ...

Re: WTF Mate! F/A 18
The other day an Airbus A380 flew about 400 feet over the park I work at, on its way to SFO airport. It had 2 fighter jets flying escort, or at least close enough to look like escort; maybe the plane wandered too low for the nearby Moffet AFB. Snapped a pic on my phone but its not worth posting, can...

Advanced Pneumatic Cannon
I built 2 of them today, the big one scares me and will probably never be used again. Got the idea from a paintball gun I built in class, the cannon is semi-auto but I didnt design in a way to reload it quickly... I have only used it at 60psi so far, waiting for the glue to fully dry. A test shot of...
