Re: re: Space Lift Tests Progressing

Why in the ocean? Wouldn't the top of a mountain in Africa or South America be better? 6200 MPH!! OK doesn't ribbon usually twist? This may make problems with providing power to the robots (if they use photo cells for power) and could limit their speed. It has to be on the equator since the top of ...

re: metal jam jar experiments

the excessive heat changes the way the reynst runs, usually causing the fuel to boil off to quickly and over-richening the mixture untill the point where it just stops running.

re: Level 1 cert. attempt

The launch today went perfectly on the f25 motor! the only problem came when the rocket landed on asphalt and scraped up my nice paint job. No real physical damage though. I also bought an H128W-M for my Cert attempt which will probably happen at next months launch. I'm kind of sorry I didn't try to...

re: SO SMALL

the question is not weather a pulsejet will run on H2 (cause it definately will!) The question is weather an engine will run on H2 as it is being generated. This adds so many variables to the equasion that I think it might be all but impossible unless you are either very lucky, or very good at calcu...

there are no such things as low power certs- you can operate anything up to a "G" size engine without any cert at all.

I am mostly suprised that it will run over 500 hz on propane. To the best of my knowledge this has never been done before. My best attempt was 687 hz on acetlyene.

On the F25? probably only 800 to 1000 feet
on the H, at least 3500 and possibly as high as 6000 on an I

some flights made with this model listed at the bottom of this page:
