Plans, etc...

Luc The plans, a Technical Manual and a video will go out to you today. Details are as follows: 1. The plans are as previously described, 1978 EMG Engineering versions. 2. The Technical manual looks much like the one you already have, except that it has a somewhat poor picture of the 700 Pound Engin...

1978 EMG Engineering plans

Luc My plans are in paper form and they are life size(big). Unfortunately, I do not have a scanner large enough to handle them, so i will send them by snail mail. I assume that you will want the plans sent to your place of business, so I will use that address unless you tell me otherwise. Will try t...

Pictures

Patrick I would love to see some more of the pictures from last Friday. My email address is adlong@adelphia.net I think my max mailbox size is limited to 10 meg, but I am not sure about the max size on a single transfer. If it does not go the first time maybe you can split the pictures into two smal...

Questions and Misc Info.

Luc MEASUREMENTS: Please double check the distance from the lip of the 3rd stage of your engine to the other side of the combustion chamber. In one of your earlier posts you noted that that the distance was 14 inches. According to the plans I have the distance should be 14.55 inches. PLANS: I have a...

Recroding trip follow up, Part 1:

OK guys a quick summary before I go to work: FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Yes, I have read all the information about how loud they are, etc…, but noting can truly prepare you for the real thing. Standing next to one of these things is more like an assault on your senses than a listening experience. You not ...

Recording

Graham, Viv, etc...

Luc has also offered to move the engine outside for testing. As long as the ambient noise level is relatively low, will this help to reduce reflections, etc in the recording?

Recording issues

Hello All: To prove that Murphy’s Law is still alive and well, the condenser microphone I ordered for the recording session did not arrive today as promised. @#$%&*> I am one bummed out puppy. I guess this is why we make backup plans. We will still do our best to get clean recordings, but they wil...

Recording / FFT

Viv: At this point I am only equipped to do a recording. Although I can see the waveform enough to identify clips, I do not have the right software to do FFTs. My plan was to send the data on to those of you with all the right stuff (software and grey matter) to do a proper analysis. If you can reco...

Recording

Hello all: GRAHAM: I ordered the Behringer B5 and it is scheduled for delivery today. Even if it does arrive as promised, I will only have a few minutes with it before I have to pack to leave for the trip. I plan to use the omni pickup and anticipate that I will need to use the -10db down switch bec...

Recording Run

OK, from the sound of your responses the recording run is on. I just ordered a mic that is scheduled for delivery on Wed and I plan to leave on Thursday morning. If all goes well, and I can get my new PC loaded properly, we should be able to start recording some time on Friday. Luc, directions, phon...

Is a recording trip still needed?

Luc, Graham, Viv, etc... If a recording is still beneficial I may be able to do it on Friday February 27th. Tentatively, I would plan to drive up on Thursday (leaving time to deal with Customs) and should be available to do record on Friday. Luc, assuming that we still need to do a recording, I will...

Trip for a recording session.

Luc Unfortunately it appears that I have a family emergency to attend to at the moment, but I do want to start planning for a recording session. I am thinking of making the trip a long weekend. Would it be better for you at the beginning or end of a week? I will also have to talk to customs to make ...

Thoughts for a Generation 3 or 4 Locky Kazoo

Mike Thanks Mike for jump starting a brave new world of pulse jet engines for the masses. Those of us who love noise and flames will praise your name and our neighbors will forever.... You success, and the input of others, has given rise to more thoughts about what a Locky Kazoo might look like seve...
