Re: Cyclonic Vacuum Jet
I would have to picture how the flow would work in there. Typically these things suffer when the tail pipe is opened along its length. Also there is a length of time when the intake is positive pressure, so the cyclone would have a very short inflow-stop-reverse cycle. In short, pressure drives flow...

great scot,
Looks like it will be a warm winter this year. If the oil burns a little slow, it may need to be heated.
Holy mother of sound that will be some noise.

Re: M500 build log
Maybe you could find a gasoline 3 phase welding machine to tap in to?
Still it would probably be easier to utilize several 12 volt automotive rollervane pumps (approx. 7 bar) and slightly increase the input pressure if needed.

Re: M500 build log
metiz,
could you pressurize the liquid fuel with propane before it is input into the pump? The mechanical pump would become a second stage then. If that concept worked it would allow both reasonably high volume and high pressure. Thoughts?

I am surprised how much running your doing in the summer. Is there a snorkeler that stands out as hot weather high humidity champ?

Looks like a good time. A little short on freeboard or was that an attempt at the submersible division? I hope it makes the fifth year. How did you like those Maddox engines?

Interesting work, does the software allow different tube geometry. Maybe something like this:

Re: Why won't my Pulse Jet run?
The injector pointing into the intake should be crimped to look like this picture. Also the regulator will definitely need to be removed. The injector should hiss slightly and have a flow that isn't laminar.

What does your injection line tip look like, is it crimped?

Yeah, they kinda made Word a clustered mess lately. What I have done is to copy what I have over into notepad and strip all the word formatting garbage. I then re-open it in Word as text.
I don't know how useful that advice is, as you have a considerable body of text.
Best regards, Joe

Re: Odds and ends
It was neat seeing the tub fill up as the run progressed. Did you notice any differences as it filled?
