It's a nice looking engine, perhaps Bruno the heat would move forward if the fuel were injected in the throat instead of the combustion chamber. On the overall though both ends are getting cooling from air ingestion. The combustion chamber is probably dissapating heat with the fuel spray striking it...

Well, it's almost 50 percent of the Sten gun. You add the barrel at one end (the only machined part) and the firing mechanism and the stock at the other and you have your submachine gun.
