re: questions about blast compression

Forgive me if I'm wrong but detonation should not have a lot to do with compression and more to do with the perfect air/fuel mixture. A fuel air bomb just releases fuel into the air and then a small charge explodes at the rear of the fuel air cloud to start the big bang. It looks quite impressive, y...

Nice job. Looks real cool... Can you try it out on the street? I wan't to see you on the news when they are trying to pull you over... You can always claim that you couldn't hear them....

re: Some Fairly Nice New FWE Pics

Hey Bill nice to meet you. Thanks for the info. Putting aside reliability for a moment, if I had to classify what's better I would first start with weight to thrust ratio and then fuel consumption. When you said "There's virtually no valved design that can compete with the current range of valveless...

re: Some Fairly Nice New FWE Pics

Thanks Eric,

Nice web site. I loved the video's too.

I was wondering if anyone has made a valveless pulse jet that can compete with a valved one? In thrust that is...

So far what would you consider is the best valveless design?

Thanks,

Hagen

re: Some Fairly Nice New FWE Pics

Eric,

Some real nice pictures!

Could you tell us how much thrust and the weight of your pulse jet is?

Thank you,

Hagen

No problem... here is a better drawing of what I tried to post before.

I only drew one intake but there should be two one on each side. Take to much time... in 3D studio.... Image is not to scale...

Good luck!

Re: Proposed Design - Straight Pipe 'Henri' Valveless Pulsej

Thanks Steve for the warm welcome. Nope... I'm just a newbie to the world of pulse jets. I have not built any yet. So my words don't have much weight to them. I've been thinking about making a type of pulse jet engine for about 10 years now. When I found this forum it really brought back my interest...

Re: Proposed Design - Straight Pipe 'Henri' Valveless Pulsej

Hey Larry, Nice job. It's great that you uploaded pictures of your work. It's nice to see how poeple make their stuff and the little helpful building secrets. Was wondering what you think of the following changes to your design. If you could flare the intake inward and extend the metal into the cham...
