In a word yes.
Tungsten is far to heavy and hard to work to be of much use as the main material of a Pulse jet.
304 is probably not the best, but it is also not the worst.

Re: Interested? No.2 (in liquid)
I will see what I can do, I have something promising in this general area, but my time is limited.
The prototype, made many years ago, was an excellent flame thrower, More work is needed.
I will post again when I have More.

Or perhaps better phrased; Do you have an end date in mind?

Re: "Thunderchine" 55 lb thrust pulsejet plans
It was a tolerances question. You have in fact supported me. Thank you for your response. Explanation: The build would NOT have been in metal, But your response indicates zero tolerance at the joints, and my build method will not support right angle joints, or rather safely support them. Thanks again.

And now from left field....
What is the maximum allowable radius for each joint?
Picture the jet made from a contiguous piece of material if that helps...
Now franticly clearing shop space...

It does seem "Eloquent"
I will likely have questions.

Re: The wedding of VPJ and GEET
I have considered such schemes in the past, I have neither the time nor equipment currently to execute any designs so derived.
FYI; Careful selection of materials is a must for the hotter parts of any thermal capture system...

Re: Metal Fume Fever
You just can not breathe the stuff. If you can not make it safe do not use that material. Also do not put gatorade or other electrolyte replacement drinks in old-fashioned galvanized water cans. We ( my Wife and I ) did this once, bad case, not fatal, of poisoning from the metal stripped from inside...
