Re: Jet Snowmobile Project/Team

HI John, Indeed, ABB are very expensive ... As for the GT6041, I was planing to use 6 turbos originally and weigth is not a concern since this would be an ice racing jet sled. Now, and since we are at destroying Springer, I got a few "Rules of Thumbs" for dimensioning the flame tube and chamber, suc...

Re: Jet Snowmobile Project/Team

Hi Luc Nice kart I have to admit ... Roger that for the correction ... The reasonS why I want to use roller bearings rather than journal bearing brass bushing is because; 1) They are more tolerant to vibrations, especially when you're 300 kl/h on a "Bumpy" frozen lake, and 2) I have developped a clu...

Jet Snowmobile Project/Team

Hi members, Long time no chat and I'm glad to be back ... I've been asked to put to gether a team and build a Jet powered snomobile using "Thrust" (Not torque) to accelerate and race 1/4 miles, and one of the criteria is that IT MUST BE an "Homebuilt (DIY)" turbine. Now, I found this on Inter...

Ayeee Salut Maxime,

Es-tu toujours dans la région de Sherbrook, ou je me trompe de Québécois?

Oui en passant, c'est un bel appareil pour ton moteur ... ;-)

Re: need help, can anyone identify this engine?

I'm not a Lockwood expert and there are peoples here, and/or drawings or plans on this forum that can help you build your Lockwood. If you decide to build a lockwood, make certain your are using stainless steel, for I have nice movies showing guy wanting to cut on costs using steel, just to see thei...

Re: need help, can anyone identify this engine?

Hi,
ide really like to go for 100 to 200 lbs, valved or valveless, any suggestions?
Lockwood engine would give you that kind of thrust, although I'm not certain about the "200" lbs. If not, maybe consider a "Scaled Down" Argus.

Nice day,

Re: Ill pay for you to build me a pulsejet

Sorry not answering sooner, for I don't spend as much time here as I used to do. Now, for your question, I have a fully built and operational Chineese engine here. Not that it was for sale, but since I'm not using it and don't I will either, why keep it collecting dust. Here a picture, fully built, ...
