Re: Calculating top speed on ice...
Joh, how are you bud, Just a suggestion but if your planning to put the restriction to the heat exchanger at the entry to the copper winding, I'd suggest maybe a high mounting position may be ideal over a low one. Reason being is that your restriction will pool the fluid in the coil till it charges ...

Re: Thermonese Thrust Test Troubles
Metiz It seems I infact ran nudis on your 45/50 lb picture. My bad.
I also told you that with nudis when you turn two intakes into 1 your error margin grows widely. Theres nothing wrong with nudis, its a useful tool when you know how to read it.

Re: Calculating top speed on ice...
I'm brainstorming out loud here Joh, see where it leads... For the record Joh I never tried pre-heating with a torch. I simply fired it up on a rossco with some air then came on with the fuel, at least thats very easy to try if the torch doesn't get the heat up, running the engine certainly will. :)...

Re: Calculating top speed on ice...
Johanssen you could use your spray nozzles to fuel the coil too. In fact since its a nice way to meter your flow rate it sounds like a goer. Happy (And safe) experimenting. No hard feelings about before J, i probably just hadn't had enough sleep...again :) I would like to see at some point a collabo...

Re: Calculating top speed on ice...
Johanssen this one worked quite well, with a decent throttle response. Simply two half pipes with two metering nozzles, crunched to spray a fan spray into the two half pipe vapourisers. Recently I changed the injectors to come in the side of the intake but haven't run it again since. The oringal had...

Re: Calculating top speed on ice...
Johanssen. By all means try the spray nozzles. I think starting is going to be a major issue, following that thrust production, but I myself have not yet tried fueling anything over 15lbs. At this stage Since absolutely instant throttle isn't a *major* concern, but "fast" throttling is, I would look...
