Sinsui Electronic Ignition PGI12KV
Came across this little unit on the internet. It was been sold here as a Potato Gun Ignition system. It uses a AA 1.5 volt battery - and kicks it up to 12,000 volts -of course very little amperage but enough to give you a good bite. It seems to start my Pulse Jets OK - the LPG Pulse Jet and the Bike...

Re: augmenter for M40
Hi ganuganu, Hey that's cool - we are all beginners in something! There is no 'real' formulae for scaling down augmentors. You're going to have to be creative and make something up that works. You could use mathematical formulae - or just grab some metal and start bashing and welding away! I would go...

Re: Blended bodies
Hey that's pretty cool.
Did you notice any starting/running issues?
Are the combustion chambers linked or totally seperate?

Hi ganuganu,
Hey ganuganu I'm just Jutte not "sir"
Yes you can still use it with the sizes you have - or you can make it shorter for

Re: augmenter for M40
Hi ganuganu, On most Pulse Jets the Augmentor is placed on the intakes - as the bigger the Pulse Jet is ,the augmentor starts to get rather large in regards to a tail pipe augmentor. This gets to a point where there it can cause a serious drag problem. If you check out some of the French Snecma ecrevi...

Re: Any Input?
I can remember somewhere on the forum that Eric had designed some sort of
thing (Valves or intake arrangement I can't remmember which) that allowed a Valved Pulse jet
not to be effected by high air speeds.

Re: "Jet" pack
Ha...Love this topic. Well it depends how much money you can throw at your jet pack... and if you want you Mother to be able to fly it...LOL! Sort of - "I can't afford to make an two wheeled segway and it's associated electronics etc - so I 'll just make a tricycle". The Martin Jet Pack has gone the...

Re: Proposed: Linear FWE Rebuild
re "strong projection of VERY hot gas out the intake" In one of my Marconnet variations - the expelled intake was cold. This was the one that I was using as a garage heater. It changed back to normal when I developed the Pulse Jet to power my bike. I always thought that if you just wanted a heater typ...

Re: second pulsejet
A heat shield is a must - the radiated heat is pretty fierce. Hearing protection is a must. Plus helmet etc - ( ie: Think Motorbike racing gear etc.) A good idea is to read what Eric says about side mounted engines on bikes. ( In the "Running Pulsejets - Setting up and running pulsejets SAFELY" sect...
