What i was doing tho, was slapping my hand onto the hole while it was running strong. The vacuume in the chamber sucks your skin in with enough strength to lift the jar back up with your hand. Afterwards your left with a good red convex lump to show for it on your palm. This was with a large pot, an...

Very interesting guys! (nice citation Pyro, i would not have initialy agreed... but youve brought in the big guns) Just a note from my observations here. I would have expected more than a 4psi difference for the peak low pressure swing.... ill think on this, although something isnt adding up for me....

i just had a look through your other posts... Did you get your original engine running? Hope you have learnt a lot since then. You are going to need some SUPER cooling on this thing! (much more than you can afford to fly with) Maybe try starting it for the first time somehow fully submerged in water...

Just snip it clean with pincing cutters, then open the resulting sharp edge up to the smallest of slits with the same pincers across the points of the edje. Smaller slit on 90 deg., easier starting, leaner burn and for small enines. Larger slit, and cut on increasing angles, richer, harder to start ...

Larry, the pumps James has, are the size of an AA battery! I just cant see how any carburating setup could be lighter than that.

That being said, we are still trying for some carburation and vaporisation methods as options. (the pumps are rather exy)

Just a little observation here. The parabolic curved horn, or just megaphone shape, resonate in their inteded use best from the small end out to the bell. Obvious. BUT in terms of a pulse jet, it seems to resonate better ass about! Intake at the capped off large end. Now, this could be a good thing ...

Your not nesicarily seeing the centre of combustion by heat pattern.
Think on the effect of the cooling incoming air to the CC walls.

The heat pattern is looking very good to me.
Ha, poor sparkplug, look at it glowing! Its amaizing they hold up to this punishment.

Bruno... yes, its gotten itself back at BC... As usual, its generating a closed loop that throws itself out very quickly. HOOOONNKKK, silence. All the tail pipe crazyness is in an attempt to control the peak. Thats about all i will say about it for now. Its really not my toy, im just sitting back la...

mmm, thanks for that.

How do those hole cutter things go? Ive seen them, and always thought that they would be pretty scary on sheet SS.
Cheap enough, ill try!

Need discs

Anyone here know where i can get made/cut about 30 SS 1mm discs on the cheap? OR, even better, any company or individual willing to get onboard with some sponsership and be involved in PJ history??? I need some discs! Big things are happening here, although the budget is a bit tight on this project....

OOOOh, NICE! Wig, here we come! I shall think on the details somewhat before running my fingers off this time. Give it a while to swim a good few laps around in my head. Im wondering why you want to place so much load on your central rear edge? You have a theory here your not willing to let go... le...

ah.... i see, no sponsons. You need sponsons. I dont know how your flat bottomed font end would go... but i wouldnt say well. You need as little wetted surface as possible. Water is very sticky stuff, especialy in this size craft. Even with sponsons, my boats need "air traps" off the end, to extend ...

Found a pic. This is a shot of the rough cutout of the mould for the model, sitting on the full size hull framework. And, the other suggestions that have come to mind after looking again at your drawing. The "cutwateter" NO! This is not a yaught! Get rid of it, you will crash before you know what ha...
