re: My G8-2-20
For some reason I could not get onto the forum the last few days. I just wanted to say, that I recieved my nosecone yesterday and I am very satisfied. The shipping only took about two days, which seemed very fast. Luc & Viv do great work and I am very happy with their service. I hope to work on my j...

Re: Price Figures For Pressurejet Parts ... Look At This.
I keep checking my email frantically every few hours to see if Irena got back to me yet. I'll just call her tomarrow. I don't want to order until I find out whether or not it was charged yet on my mother's credit card. I'll let ya know, I can't wait to get this engine rollin'!!! Just to clarify...I ...

Re: Glu's for sale
Yes most of us are aware of Vortech. From what I hear from several people is that they are very poor. Vortech is where Luc bought his $3,800USD 130R, that only put out something like 45lbs. They are very overpriced aswell.

Cool, the nozzle with the flexible hose sounds pretty neat. Nosecone first though. I already emailed tipjet.com about my nosecone. For $48 less and a shorter wait I can't pass this up!

Wow, you are amazing! I am very impressed with your price for the nosecone ($57USD). Plus the fact that you're including plans with your parts. Phenominal! I paid $100US for my nosecone and I didn't get it yet. Do you have 20lb. nosecones made? Can you elabourate on these nozzles? They must be prett...

Re: My G8-2-20
Thanks for your reply. The thrust measuring rig I an working on is very crude, as I don't have the money that I'm sure it would cost like you said to build a decent setup. I have now finished reading the 130R power failure thread and I gained a lot of valuable information. Thanks guys for all the wo...

I am doing it in two peices working between the english wheel, planishing hammer, and hammer bag. One step clo...

Re: Irina Gluhareff's website
That is where I bought my nosecone from. It was pretty overpriced, $105, plus shipping. Irena called me a few days after I placed the order. We had a very interesting conversation.

Re: Who is the man on the jet bike?
"Yes, that's also Bob on the bicycle, 27 years ago. He built his first jet engine (the 20 lb. thrust unit) and installed it on a bicycle at the age of 16... which took that Schwinn to over 60 MPH)." That was quoted from United Nuclear's gluey plans page seen here: http://www.unitednuclear.com/jetpla...

Re: My G8-2-20
Thanks Bruno and mk!
Has anyone experimented with supercharging a gluey? If so, what kind of increase in thrust did you notice? That is, if you you have the propper setup for measuring thrust. ...Perhaps a question for Luc & Viv. hehe

Luc & Viv, I really wish I could help!!! To bad I can't drive yet... Man I really have a lot of respect for you guys, with all of the work that you put into this project. Maybe someday I could come up and visit! On another note, what are you guys doing for a nosecone? Are you spinning it yourselves?
