Luc's Industrial Gas Turbines
Hi all ... I'm starting a new project with two brand new Garrett GT2560R turbos coming my way as we speak ... :D The goal with this project is to build a "Low Cost - Free Turbine" gas turbine concept, a bit like a PT6, but much smaller and much cheaper and see how much HP and/or torque can I get out...

Hi John, Nope I'm not a flaterer ... Just giving to Cesar what belongs to Cesar that's all. As for the elbow, we droped it (abandonned) and are now carrying CFD of a "Straight" 2 stage ejector, changing sizes and length, and STRANGELY, it seems my narrow gap first stage and larger gap second stage a...

Re: Jet Snowmobile Project/Team
Hi John, OMG ... My P2 maybe runs around 2 psig. @ 40,000 rpm idle condition. In fact, the compressor pressure port is equiped with two pressure switches, one that kills the starter @ 1.5 psig. and one that provide overspeed protection, thus, killing the turbine if P2 exceeds 40 psig. which is aroun...

Re: Jet Snowmobile Project/Team
Lollll .... Indeed .... Cool running turbine isn't making power, especialy when it's built to delivery heat and velocity for industrial applications that don't want to see 800°C ... Lollll But thrust me that the day I'll be looking for pure thrust, which is not the case for the GT4708, I'll be crank...

Re: Jet Snowmobile Project/Team
Hi John, Lollll ... You obviously did not understand my question or did I formulated it wrong ... Lollll My question was more toward providing the audience with your "Rules of Thumbs" since I know they work great, and not for my big jet project, but more for someone wanting to build a single DIY tur...
