Seems to be dependent on which ISP you use. Over here I've had problems with Tiscali, Wanadoo and sometimes with BT and Virgin.

Daniel you could be right there, I don't know the exact mixture for combustion. It's just a rough calculation on the back of a fag packet. Well not quite because I don't smoke :D
If it's only 4% mixture (not 10%) then we can over double the air it requires!

re: valveless pj calculator
I've had success building valveless engines with the same proportions as normal valved engines so you can use a calculator such as Erics one. Instead of using a valved intake substitute it with a tube that is 2/3 the cross sectional area of the tailpipe and 3 times as long as it is in diameter. Fuel...

Bruno, I saw some pre-war Bugattis being thrashed in anger in the support race at Lemans this year. Their speed and prowess on the track defies belief for such an old race car and I have nothing but utmost respect for their pilots who were throwing them sideways, cross-armed and comitted through the...

re: Bugatti fun facts
Quick back-of-ciggie-packet calculation, if a 100lb lockwood drinks 3kg of propane per minute roughly and the mixture is about 10:1 then I make that requiring about 30Kg of air per minute. Density of air is about 1.2 kg/m3 so that's about 25 m3 of air per minute. One cubic metre is 1000 litres so th...

Summit do 3" and 4" J bends, part numbers SUM-622004 & SUM-622005 $25 each. Webster Race Engineering, http://www.webster-race-engineering.co.uk 01933 315236 are good for for Summit stuff, very helpful, usually just better than £ for $. Burnham Autos http://www.burnhamautos.com/index.htm can also be...

Jonny69.Just outside London - South or North? I live near Blackheath. I'd be happy to car share with anyone with a motor. Graham. No way! We're practically neighbours, I live in Beckenham right by the cinema! We'll have to meet up for a beer on the heath while the weather is nice and nose in each o...

re: Proposed Simple Fuel Stinger Designs
I might disagree actually. While it is a good idea to lock off with a second nut for safety in all reality I think the engine would go out, so the bolt probably wouldn't fly out. I say that because I've tried to fuel one of mine on gas with a large fuel jet, high volume but low pressure, and it simp...

re: Proposed Simple Fuel Stinger Designs
That's a great idea Larry, I have one more idea to simplify them further. One could crush the tube as you show in the diagrams but instead of plug welding you could crush the tube slightly too far and run a tap down between. This should result in the screw being very tight but adjustable and no need...
