Mini lockwood maybe?

I saw pics of Steve's little engine and thought I'd try to bastardize it with my own additions. I didn't have time to spin a CC, so I just took some 1/4" air fittings and some garden hose fittings and with a bit of lathe work, voila! I doubt it will work, probably will melt, but the brass is thick, ...

re: Starting problems, unknown eBay pulsejet

There is no regulator, it's just an old valve from my oxy-propane torch outfit, simply a valve and a barb. I'll go enlarge the jets a bit, and see if I can get it to start easier.

re: Starting problems, unknown eBay pulsejet

Is it possible that my fuel jets are too small? View the attachment for a poorly drawn diagram. The holes are 1/16" I think, I should measure them. Perhaps If I added another set of holes along the length of the tube?

re: Starting problems, unknown eBay pulsejet

It was claimed to be a "prototype" and no it had not been tested before I bought it (stupid I know, I should've bouht a dynajet, or built one myself considering I have more than enough tools, lathe, welder, plasma cutter, bandsaw, etc...) I'll go try to start it again, I'll flip the reed valves over...

Starting problems, unknown eBay pulsejet

I purchased a pulsejet on ebay about a year go, it's made well, CNC machined stainless with a black iron tailpipe. However, I've been having starting troubles. I've been using MAPP gas as the fuel, I also tried propane. When I go to start it, I can get some very loud POPs etc, and I can get it to sq...
