I saw pics of Steve's little engine and thought I'd try to bastardize it with my own additions. I didn't have time to spin a CC, so I just took some 1/4" air fittings and some garden hose fittings and with a bit of lathe work, voila! There is no regulator, it's just an old valve from my oxy-propane torch outfit, simply a valve and a barb. I'll go enlarge the jets a bit, and see if I can get it to start easier.

Is it possible that my fuel jets are too small? View the attachment for a poorly drawn diagram. The holes are 1/16" I think, I should measure them. Perhaps If I added another set of holes along the length of the tube?

Steve, you're right, it needed more fuel to sustain. I changed some things, flipped the reedvalves over and opened the gas valve larger.
