Re: Odd Metal jars
Here we go, gas attempt with the thermo-jam. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8krnOeqlQGk I think the methylated spirits are keeping it running but a whiff of gas was helping to pick up the pace, in my opinion it will take some thought to get it running for long periods of time on gas. Iam going to ke...

Re: Please put your "I am new and need help" question here.
Hmmm interesting, all the designs that i have looked at have had smaller intake inner diameter than the exhaust. However i havent looked at any lockwood plans at all yet!! You should get a feel for the dimensions using pyrojoes caliber method, it may help some of the more knowlegable guys make some ...

Re: Engine for Model Boat
i guess you just pump a small misted amount of water into the cc. iirc the waters volume multiplies by something stupid like 1600 x. for example 1ounce of steam takes up 1600 times more space than 1ounce of water.
please do a search though cose my memory could be totally wrong ha

Re: The M25
Not a problem, i understand! i think i will build an m25 or m40 for fun, and build a valved atomjet ect for flight, i can always go back to the m25 if i figure out how to liquid fuel it. or maybe i should make that the task, a liquid fuel solution so that it can be flown!! too be honest i dont think...

Hi Metiz, I noticed you have posted in the last day or 2. Hope you don't mind me bothering you about this engine!
Have you weighed this engine and what gauge stainless steel is it constructed from?
Also are you able to release some plans too me?
Thanks
Kevin

8) Ace, that's really great and no worries Iam interested in anything unconventional! I was actually supposed to ask your opinion on swapping back to your original individual intakes, but m40 intakes would work nicely, maybe :) Just a few dimensions would suffice, I reckon. Might be an idea to blend...

Re: construction questions
Welcome to the forum.
Use some 1mm mild steel and read pyrojoes recipe. Get a build under your belt and then worry about thrust. The experience of building and starting your first will be invaluable.
This is just my opinion
