re: Numbers

I like this idea as well. I think we need to start a standard to compare engines. I think it was a while ago but failed, or maybe i was just dreaming. Anyways right now i am working on a program that when coupled with data from UFlow determines Thrust and a thrust versus time graph. Right now i am u...

re: Ignition driver problem

I would like to thank everyone for the help because i have finally gotten it to work. The problem was the transistors. I tried two brand new ones and both were duds. This led me to believe that the transistor wasn't the problem but i just tried another one and it works. Questions. Is there another e...

re: Ignition driver problem

Thanks i would appreciate it. I now know that my circuit is the problem because i bought a Accel Super coil that does 120.000 plus volts. I can't understand why the circuit works for light bulbs and speakers but not my coil. When Hook a light bulb up to the circuit and turn my freq. down the light i...

re: Ignition driver problem

My transistors are brand-new and aren’t the problem. I guess i should have said that the speaker does get much louder but it came out long. Even with the darlington circuit I can't get any decent sparks. It’s really starting to frustrate me. I have finished my big turbo jet but can't start it ti...

re: Spark plug thread

My trick with sparkplugs is if it is to be threaded into thin stainless I just drill a hole and thread the sparkplug into which gives a nice fit. If the plug has to go into something thicker I just re thread the sparkplug to pipe thread and call it good. So far it’s worked for me.

re: Ignition driver problem

Thank you for the response and ideas. I will check the resistance later when i have time.

My battery is a heavy duty car battery thats fully charged. I will get back to you on the make and model of everything later as well.

Thank you.

re: Ignition driver problem

Well I have done everything that you guys have suggested and still it will not work. The resistance in my coil is zero so that’s not it and my circuit works. I can hook a speaker up to it and go from a slow click click to a buzz to a high pitch squeal all just by turning the potentiometer. I am ru...

re: Ignition driver problem

Thank you for the comments. Yes i built all three and all three work when hooked up to a speaker so i assume the circuits are working. I have switched between two batteries. Both were chareged and one was new so thats not it. So i think it is my coil but i switched coils and the same happend so mayb...

re: Metal choice and welding.

I MIG weld all my jets. The welds may not be perfect but they are by no means ugly. It just takes a lot of pratice and patience to get used to it. Once you get the technique down its a piece of cake.

Ignition driver problem

Ok so my ignition setup right now is a piece of junk and never works so i decided to build a electric circuit based on a 555 timer chip. I found many plans on the Internet and built many of them on a breadboard. The problem is i can't get a spark bigger then around .1 mm The circuits work but i can'...

re: Nanosoft's Chineese

More pictures and video for your enjoyment. This time at night. I ran the engine for about 20 min straight before turning it off. Never once did it hick up. But I do think my neighbors were wondering what all the noise was. Something interesting is that the exhaust is very cool. I can stick my hand ...
