Re: Motor Jets!
That's pretty cool...Could you get your hands on some pyrex and mount a window on it?? When I first read your post on this project my thoughts went back to this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QRl0jzdAY6U In the beginning there's a nicely formed vortex just before pulsation begins. Where'd you...

Re: Okay, I think I've lost it
Well as promised, I made a damned small pulse jet work. Not as small as 10mm x 5mm pictured above though. So however,..... will 28mm x 3mm do??? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GMFHPHG0v4 I've notced a curious flame effect on my wee pj and this one. Don't know if it's from the camra or something uni...

[quoteOther than that its very doable. Have access to hydrogen?][/quote] Thanks,...I've never messed about with the good stuff (pure hydrogen). I know our local Airgas has it but I don't know the min I can purchase. I'll have to check it out. In the mean time braking down dihydrogen monoxide on a sm...

Re: Okay, I think I've lost it
I like it! I only have two "negative" thoughts, which shouldn't discourage you in any way: Thank's,.....Constructive criticism is always good. The only discouraging thing is never having enough time to mess about with projects. Tuning would require two new plates for every change. Several technique...

Okay, I think I've lost it
While doing some abstract reading on mm sized pulse jets, I figuired, What the hell. I can make a mm sized pulse jet. Using a few jewlers techniques in constructions of course. Don't need no stink'n high tech equipment to make the thing. However getting it to run and attaining results may require so...

Re: Running Pulsejets - Setting up and running pulsejets SAFELY
"accelerated bowel movements....." The Myth Busters should 'o used a big 'ol pulse jet to work out their brown note myth. Seriously though, good set of common sence safety rules. How about those internet junkies with a jam jar pulse jet, crude hybrid rocket motors, home made solid rocket motors, or ...

Well,...I MacGyvered a bic lighter turning it into an HHO generator in hopes of making a 10 cm wee boat. I managed to strap on my wee pj on to it and to my surprise it worked. Never got a chance to find that sweet spot though............. pop pop pop pop po pop po pop po pop.................. pop po...

Re: Glass CC
That would make for a pretty cool video(questions answered and more questions asked). I've toyed with the idea of using bits and pieces of laboratory glassware. Lots and lots of good shapes to chose from and all you'd need to do is fuse the chunks together to make what ever style pulse jet you wante...
