re: PulseJets illegal in Canada?

While I agree small pulsejet-powered RCs might be dangerous, I'm all for bigger RC airplanes powered by pulsejets!

Wait... I just re-read your post... And it's a bike?!

OK now, I indeed wonder how you did that...

You might... if you bring your own generator. It might be worth it though, a tesla coil would be a nice night-time setup!

Don't forget to snap lots of pictures, for those who can't make the move!

What is nice with liquid fuel is that you can actually optimize the weight repartition and the available space on your kart.

Congrats for the nice work... And enjoy, you've deserved it. Find somewhere nice to test it to its full potential now!

Re: re: American West Coast Pulsejet Meet

Anthony, what about Jazz or Tango? Their fares are usually half the price of Air Canada, even though they are all really the same company. Greyhound usually offers a $68 anywhere-to-anywhere special during the summertime. If the meet happens then, you could hitchhike down to Plattsburgh or Albany N...

re: American West Coast Pulsejet Meet

OK, I just looked at the prices, for fun. With Air Canada, in the month of April (for myself), from YQB to LAX through YYZ, return from LAX through YUL to CYQB. Total : 631$ CAD with taxes, flying on Dash 8, Airbus A319 and A320, or 534$ if I take off from Montreal (then, add a couple bucks for the ...

What's your estimation of the total cost?

Cause yeah, looking at it, it might be VERY interesting to build one!

(I just gotta find the LPG bottle and leaf blower, but that's an other thing).

Re: Valveless collection

here is a picture showing all of my valveless pulsejets and reynst combustors. If anyone else would like to post their valveless family portrait I (and probably everyone else here) would love to see it, especially as it becomes hard to keep track of the projects people have worked on. There are sim...

re: my k-pt 04a

The inventor is Marten, alias mk. Well, for those who have a hard time with Spanish (I can read easily but it's quite harder to write...), Fransisco has a hard time trying to get his K-pt 04 to sustain. He first did a 150mm pipe wich he constantly shortened until he got good explosions, at 107mm, bu...

Oh how would I like to be there, as a spectator but still!

However, that's too costly for my poor self... Heck if I'd have enough "spare" money I'd get metal-working equipment first!

Re: re: some neat little engines

That first early pulsejet with the grooves cut in the direction of air flow over the engine in flight is something I have seen, it was a pulsejet called a Doylejet. I wonder if that would be better than a Dynajet in the real world of air cooling or weight reduction? Mark Hmmm. Doing a google for Do...
