All my time got sucked up on Sunday shoping for windows at home depot. So tonight I was able to weld the mild steel exhaust to the stainless steel intake by using 308 welding rod as anchors. You may also try to put a sleeve with a flare over the intake. This will alow you to adjust the length of the intake and give you that needed flare. You may also want to do the same to the exhaust pipe. I would start with the lowest fuel setting for combustion. Keep the air going try and get it moun...

I got my spark plugs and SS 10mm nuts today. They really are tiny. Will have to tryand weld them up real soon. I'll let you know how they gas weld since that's all I got.

I would not use a plastic tye wrap to secure the fuel line to the exhaust tube. Maybe you did this for the photo shoot? You could use some solid steel wire or else it will melt off quickly.
