Re: Pulse-Jet Operating Frequency Variations
The research paper said they used a pressure transducer to check the pulse rate. It also said something about variations in pulse rate changed very little during the experements. This is a large pdf file I can not copy and paste here. I can email it to you if you send me your email address. There is...

Re: Pulse-Jet Operating Frequency Variations
I am not exactly sure what you are asking for. Here is some good data from a Dyna Jet engine running on gasoline. This is research data that a college student did for his graduate thesis paper. Combustion chamber pressure was measured to be 3.6 lbs. Thrust was measured at 4.36 lbs. Pulse rate was me...

Re: Rotary Valve Pulse-Jets
It is a lot easier than that but it will work only on very large engines with a slow pulse rate. Do you know how a full automatic machine gun works? Build a pulse jet along the same design as a machine gun. Each time the engine fires the gas pressure opens a set of normally closed valves so it can t...

Re: Interested ?
What is the defination of, CC volume 250mls? Does 250 include the cone or is it strictly the length of the CC tip to tip? As you probably all know the cone can be part of the CC. What will keep one person from making a very long tapers cone to enlarge the total CC for their design if the cone is not...

Re: How to test stump remover for KNO3?
You can buy Potassium Nitrate from any Industrial Chemical supply company. Check the phone book yellow pages or online. There are many good formulas for rocket fuel. I like the all time favorite 75% potassium nitrate, 15% charcoal, 10% sulfur all available at any industrial chemical supply company. ...

Re: Free plans
140 meter engine is twice the length of a tractor trailer truck. That thing is large enough to live inside of it. The combustion chamber can be the bedroom. The exhaust tube can be the living room and kitchen combo.

Re: Hello and questions
I think this forum is dead very few people will reply. I think Bruce Simpson has never built a real working pulse jet engine that is large because he has NO videos of any large pulse jet engine running. He shows a pic of an engine he claims is 100 lbs of thrust but the physical size and demensions o...

Re: Pulso-1 Plans metric does not = inches ???
Did you see this? http://www.pulse-jets.com/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5223 There was a mention of the valve holes being too small, I believe. I'm also curious about the fuel jet and needle valve. Is the fuel gasoline? if so wouldn't it draw unevenly, since the orifice is below the centerline? If p...

I am having trouble with my reed valves.
I am new here. I have to do trial and error to get my valves right so my pulse jet engine will run. I have tried .006" and .008" and .010" spring steel. Is there an easier way?
