Where to buy, what is in my opinion, the simplest and most reliable ignition device of the 2005 Pulse Jet Meet.

re: American West Coast Pulsejet Meet, April 30

A pulsejet hangover, jet lag, a sinus attack and work have delayed my posting to the Form until now. I can only second Chris’ statement: “What a weekend. The setting was beautiful and the engines were amazing. Everyone there was amazing. 13+ of the finest human beings I've ever had the pleasure ...

re: American West Coast Pulsejet Meet, April 30

WE ARE HERE! Everyone made it here on Friday and we had a great time. So far there is no way of knowing how many engines there are, but 11 were run in the afternoon and into the evening. At least one is now under construction and there will be more. Jam Jars and other topics contineud long after som...

The engine in the first link you provided has a 14" combustion chamber. A minimum 6" exhaust at the elbow and a whopping 10.5) inches at the outlet! Is this the mythical 150 -200 pounder?

Love the video, especially watching the engine mount flex when she fires!

Practice will definitely help, but I also get the feeling that the quality of the welder (both human and machine) plays a part in the equation. In my case neither is up to snuff.

re: Metal choice and welding.

After spending the afternoon trying to weld stainless with a MIG welder I can tell you that TIG is the way to go. It can be done with MIG, but the process is tedious and results in some UGLY welds. From a strength prospective, I am sure the welds I did today are also far from ideal. Properly built j...

I think a presentation on Construction Dos and Don’ts would be a great idea and very beneficial for those of us just gearing up to build. This would also be another of those nice things to have recorded, assuming that you are not too camera shy.

re: Fo Mi Chin Re-work [Version II]

Bill A Miller Maxstar 200 DX, I am truly jealous! I have spent a good deal of time on their web site and I have the drool marks on my keyboard to prove it. The DX is way out of my price range, so lately I started reading up on the MAXSTAR 150 STH. Basically it's the little brother of the 200 DX, but...

Rossco: No problem with another seat. The mini van listing says that it can handle 7 passengers, but 6 is typically a more practical number for adults. At present we have Bruno, Marten and me. With Rossco and lady that makes 5. Ben: If you do change your ticket to arrive on the 28th we should have r...

Please provide what flight details you can at this point. I am coming in on the 28th and will pick up both Bruno (12:55PM) and Martin (4:30PM). We will have a 7 passenger mini van so there is plenty of room to have you as well.

Sure wish you guys could come, but understand it you have other obligations.

I will do my best to absorb the information first hand and pass on what has not already been published by the time I come up for a visit.
