Locky Kazoo lives!

Mike, You Da Man!
If this one is made of 3 inch pipe, think of what you can do with 5 inch. Can't wait for more pictures, video and optimized plans so the rest of us can start making noise in our own neighborhoods. My next surfing stop, the stainless shop at Burns.

Recording quality.

Luc Now that is an amazing rig! I love the provision you made to adjust the intake duct positions, etc... Would it be possible to see more of those kinds of details? Viv If a good sound recording is that important to the cause, I may be able to take a drive up to see Luc, assuming that's OK with him...

Guys
Thanks for the tipoff on the sources for plans and research materials. Although the plans are for an earlier engine without the water injection augmentor, I will probably go for a set if the vendor responds.

Thanks for the feedback. I will take another look through the reports then chill while others draw their conclusions.

Loudmouth engine

Bruno
The engine in the auction is actually an earlier model without the water injected thrust augmentor like the one in the old magazine. I have been searching the Internet for references for the last couple of hours, but with little success. Will let you know if I find anything.

LoudMouth engine

I remember this thing from Mechanix Illustrated. Several months ago someone had a set of plans on ebay, but I didn't bite at that time. Does anyone know where you can still get the plans?

Various CDF reports

I have gone back to scan through the various CDF reports, but could not draw any clear conclusions from them. Could someone enlighten me as to where things go from here.

Time for truth or dare part II?

Bruno
Agreed,,, providing for the family must come first.
It has also been said that good things come to those who wait.
We all enjoyed the last round and look forward to the next.

Time for truth or dare part II?

Bruno
How is the data mining going on the Messerschmidt? Sure would like to know more about that beast.
What else do you have up your sleeve to tease us with?

NO S#!T! Messerschmidt?

I thought he was out of the game by the 70s. All I could think about when I saw the front profile in that first drawing (0057.jpg) was the SR71 Black Bird.

Was this thing able to develop any kind of static thrust, or did it have to be in motion to give it life?

Truth or dare

Bruno

My first guess would be Clarence L. "Kelly" Johnson as the designer and that it is a supersonic ram jet engine.

Supersonic nozzle with 15 - 17 lbs of thrust?

Raymond and / or Viv A supersonic nozzle with 15 - 17 lbs of thrust has some real possibilities. In addition to the increased speed and thrust how do the pound per second fuel flow figures compare with those Luc has been working with? Also, would it be possible for you to post a screen shot for thos...
