Nye

Check out the NYE guys website, they use to have a toy such as this called a hornet is powered from a big-ass ingersol compressor. Oh yes, it will be mine someday. http://www.nyethermodynamics.com/hornet.htm A couple things to keep in mind. Breathing air within the cylinders is super dry. Depending ...

ME

To continue the intros, some call me Rescyou, some call me Shane and some call me asshole, though I hope not many. I live in Western Canada (Alberta) and am the CEO of an petroleum industry fire/rescue/safety/training company (kinda like Red Adair) as well as own a small research company with a few ...

Blown Away

I know you did not intend to drill the tank directly, I was under the impression you were going to "adjust"... the output orifice on the thing. The nice thing about propane cylinders is they do not fragment when they explode. I think one of the scariest fire's I've been to while in the fire service ...

Fuel

You manually control the fuel flow in the direct inject method so you must adjust it to obtain the right balance. The way I've done it in the past is to determine the LEL and the UEL of the fuel and set the regulator to an average value between the two. LEL = Lower Explosive Limit UEL = Upper Explos...

Big Boom

One way around the low output problem would be to link a few of the cylinders together with one common output.

The orifice in the cylinders are probably brass, so they probably won't spark and you probably won't be killed instantly... probably...

KaBoom

I don't recommend drilling a "live" propane cylinder of this type or we may end up scraping you off the ceiling. You may want to try a propane torch cylinder, though I do not know their max flow rates.

Re: further clarification

And also of course generate the email providers' addrs. that come after the @ symbol. There are so many now. That info.is really more important than the combinations of a person's name and initials,as I can think them up. Thanks ,Ray. http://www.northworks.biz/software.html What you ask is pretty mu...

If you go to my page: http://www.rescyou.com/propulsion.htm Go into the Dissect section and I think I have a picture of a Dynajet injector that's probably close to it. It's not the best of pics though.. There might be some cad/pdf files in the FILES section as well for some dyna-jet parts I was mess...

I C the Light

You are posting in the correct place, misunderstood your intention. You should be able to find all sorts of goodies within that heater. Myself, I would take the heater apart and see if I could fix it and sell the thing and buy parts with the $$ I got. If you are planning to get into pulse-jets I wou...

Jets

Turbine combustion runs at very high RPM and fairly high heat. Unless this heater is an APU of some sort I highly doubt that it will function as you intend. If you are looking for the el'cheapo version of a turbine, buy an old turbo from the junkyard. Do you have a make/model/picture of this device?...

Books

I had talked to one person that went there and he said he downloaded a bunch of the stuff in the 24hr free period and did go the way of actually subscribing. He said there were lots of PDF's and Excel type files so it may be worth the while to go there for the 24hrs and download as much as you can. ...
