Re: Gassifier Gas?

Rossco, Luuper, I was thinking as a future project about gassifying/cracking waste oil with my PJ to feed itself. But I just got my first PJ (I bought it, didn't build it  ) so for now it's only bigtalk. It would start op on propane and switch, after adding, to cracking gasses made in a coil. ...

Re: Turbines driven by pulse jets

Sorry but I cant see any tanks there ether moving or standing still ;-) Haha!  don't forget the word simple as it is prevalent in this thread for a reason! if you want to introduce the concept of static pressure you can by all means but the rule is you have to explain it in breathtakingl...

Re: Turbines driven by pulse jets

Viv, Now as you said, what about that high pressure environment for the pulse jet? well yes but with pressure also comes flow! what about flow and what about time? take the example above with the 700 cubic feet a minute flow from that diesel compressor, looking at the ram jet combustor its mixing ai...

Re: Two stroke diesel, turbo compound engines

Hi Ace I think Mike should move this to a new thread in wacky turbines as its way off topic for the turbo compound diesel thread ;-) Viv Viv, By: "in wacky turbines", you mean hybrid jets or off topic forum? Okay with me. Mike, Mike, can you hear us? Cut us off :D (only from here! ) Fedde

Re: Two stroke diesel, turbo compound engines

Viv, Viv, Is that a valved 2-stroke, or valveless  (I mean of courese: with ports) or an opposed piston? I've been looking for smaller 2-stroke diesels, but they are hard to find in Holland. I found and bought though a single cilinder, with ports, air cooled, 500cc. Will be used for experients!...

Re: "Beginners start here" forum?

Viv, Mike, Might be an idea to make in every forum a sticky thread: "post your - help my jet doesn't work - questions here"? Then you have your beginners-forum and FAQ in one inside all forums. Might require a bit cleaning once in a while but that's easy while it's all in one thread. Then you don't ...

Re: Two stroke diesel, turbo compound engines

Ha! ok but go look at CHP and heat recovery from exhausts to then ;-) Viv Is that a thread on our forum? No not yet but we have had a few good discussions on the subject including steam generation, do a google search for CHP and follow heating and cooling driven from the power plans exhausts. Viv W...
