Re: A pressurized environment for the PJ

While I’m hoping that somebody is going to show me how to adapt a PJ to 4 atm, I’ll make a little side jump (or jump forward) from: How to: 4 atm PJ, to: How to: 4 atm environment for the PJ. Simply putting the PJ in a pressurized tank doesn’t work. It will pollute it’s own fresh air till there’s no...

Re: A pressurized environment for the PJ

What about the following idea? To be honest I really haven’t got a clue… For 4 atm. First scale your PJ up, with the normal scaling values, for having it handling 4 times the airmass compared to the original. Then “zoom” it back to the original length (with equal scaling values) for the 4 atm enviro...

Re: Fuels: Cracking and gassifying

Viv, Before I started posting I read my “Shell Petroleum Handbook” and I read it again (the capitals about cracking only) And the dissolved oxygen in the fuel will do what? heat + fuel + oxygen =? Of course there will be some oxidation but I think (I don’t claim) there is no carbonisation through ox...

Coming from: http://www.pulse-jets.com/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=5229&start=210#p63413 Hi Johansson The amount of heat from that suggested coil arrangement for diesel at your kind of flow rates could be an issue, the available heat conduction rate of the CC wall to Copper may leave you short, the a...

So! struggling to stay on topic even though its my own fault for suggesting what turned in to the distraction ;-)   The answer to Metiz would be yes! Viv wrote:it will oxidize in the coil and form coke
Viv,

It's the cracking, due to to high temperatures, that causes coke to form.

Water (steam) is even added in cracking installations to prevent carbonisation.

Metiz, Couldn't get it to do what you want it to (understandable) or can't get it to work period? Can't get it to work period. Exactly like Leo describes in the Tools and Construction Forum in the Nudis thread. Same alarms, same solutions tried, no result. Might have to do with me (like Leo) using ...
