Re: 130R x4 Vertical take off platform
Going from memory - I think that they could be two different machines. The Space Ranger was built by Richard Timewell and his wife who I think were aircraft engineers. The last one ( the flaming one) was owned by a race car driver - named Ballinger. Hey I just checked that link to that rocketman sit...

' Wooah...flaming toastly marshmellows Batman"
Big oops there -like the look on the face of the guy holding the fire extinguisher.
And yes folks - he walked away unharmed thanks to his fire proof race suit.

Re: Would this work? Project: BenJet XL 0.1
Hi Viv, I have seen that hot wire igniter on that patent before - and it intrigued me - so just a few questions. Does that pressure type intake 'stack' need that because of the pressures can overcome the returning tail pipe hot gases and 'blow' them out? And - is it really applicable to 'normal' pul...

Re: Would this work? Project: BenJet XL 0.1
OK - wrote a big reply but my computer ate it - so will give it another go. Just a few ideas...for the sake of the following consider a basic straight pulse jet - not a folded one. OK - its a given that an outer shroud casing will stuff up the acoustics etc. But what if you "retune'( shorten) the ta...

Re: I am tired of circles....
Have you tried looking for stuff already made?
I made a pulse jet out of an old Fire Extinguisher ( Combustion Chamber)
+ Car exhaust ( Intake ) + A section of steel pipe for the tail pipe.

Re: Coanda " flying saucer" with pulse jet
Just as a point of interest - I did have pictures of two Coanda type flying craft made in America ( 1950's - early 60's)- but then my computer died and the pictures went kaput. One seemed to be a homebuilt unit , but the other was a company built unit. Oh yes they were manned craft as well. The pictur...

Re: Coanda " flying saucer" with pulse jet
OK - just seen this... Yes I have thought of this as well - pretty much almost exactly as the picture made by spactrax. Although I haven't done the pulse jet version - about 20 years ago I did make a model airplane motor version of this - but not with the holes in the upper surface. Yes it did prove...

Hi Zippiot,
If you're referring to the Enics drones - most of them are recon intel gathering units.
The yellow coloured ones are fired out after a multiple rocket area suppression strike to ascertain
damage. They also come in grey - and your standard Russian winter white.
