while roaming through the local hardware store I found a kit that can withstand temperatures up to 1250 degrees C would that be of any use?

you mean I could wrap a couple of those layers to form the engine itself and use epoxy to hold the stuff together. won't the epoxy melt under those temperatures or would the wrap protect the resin enough? 400 degrees f is the maximum for epoxy I think. But that really is a 'friggin great id! I'm def...

would it be possible to bond metal surfaces with heat resistant mortar instead of welding?
