re: Hydro Foamy

Impressive yes, but what is the point? Why would anyone want to fly 30 feet above the ocean? It is better to run up to 30,000 feet if you ask me, where flying is actually safe. At such low altitudes, the tiniest problem could result in disaster.

HAHAH, I've made the nitrogen tri-iodide crystals as well as a kid. A local pharmacist got me a pound of iodine cystals for like $20 (don't try it now, the pharmacist will probably say ok, but you will be followed home. I2 is also used in meth production) They aren't all that sensistive when clear a...

re: Elektra I Analysis Amusements

That would be cool, if you could say use a 1/4" tube coiled up and stuck to the side of the CC. A little engine taking up a 6"X4" space!

re: Build or Buy ??????

Yeah, thats a personality trait that most people interested in things like this share. The engine is cool to have and play with, but it was the learning experience, and just building something cool that you were really after. If you just want a first class, top quality pulse jet, buy one from these ...

re: HOLY CRAP!! Check this out!

I think the big problem with running our cars on solar, or electricity period for that matter is that batteries suck, to generate the needed power for very long requires lots and lots of battery weight. Not to mention charging batteries takes time, can't just fill 'em up and run. Solar power could b...

re: HOLY CRAP!! Check this out!

Bruno, what I'm getting at about the soviet union is that yes, they had some very fine scientists, ahead of their time. many modern devolopments began there, but when you compare what they had and what they knew to what we have now, they were pretty primitive. Just as everywhere else in the world. T...

re: HOLY CRAP!! Check this out!

I was speaking generally about the U.S., my sorry ass country. And I would hardly call old soviet technology enrormously sophisticated. Just because it hasn't been done, Bruno, doesn't mean it can't be done. It happens all the time, someone realizes something new and better that noone ever thought o...

re: HOLY CRAP!! Check this out!

I think there is definately enough evidence supporting the idea to indicate the possibility. This device that they claim to have devolped does not break the law of conservation of energy, it simply gets its energy from a method we are not familiar with. It wasn't too awful long ago that the internal...

re: HOLY CRAP!! Check this out!

I agree with you on most of your points, Larry, but maybe I misunderstand you, or maybe you didn't read through the sites technical data enough. I'm not sure. The MEG is a MotionLESS energy generator, it has no moving parts. It harnesees the energy waves that are present everywhere, and currently no...

HOLY CRAP!! Check this out!

I don't know if any of you have ever heard of this or not, if this is real it could be the end to all the worlds energy problems in a box. They do have a patent, the patent office doesn't give out patents to devices which do not work. I want one!

re: Today's tidbits

you're right, that was pretty irresponsible of me not to mention the dangers, and safety precautions one should take when dealing with high currents/voltages. I guess I've been fooling around with things of this nature foor so long that I subconciously took it for granted that everyone was aware of ...

just use a carbon arc, they're really hot. just a spark gap between two carbon electrodes, being pushed by a couple or 3 microwave oven transformers.

Thanks, steve!.. Oh yeah, Rossco, any chance I could get a peek at those plans? I'd love to see your ideas! Have you ever attempted a build? My kid, and my dad, would both get hours of amusement from a fully-auto golfball launcher! Maybe I could even use it to teach these retarded coon dogs next doo...
