Re: concentric lockwood
As much as I love the concept of concentric / annular / coaxial designs they have real major problems Heat being primary. Over heating. Warping. you name it. I am still trying to make one work well, no luck. I am convinced that some day some one will make a good one. Here's an old photo of me, hold...

Here's my simple answer: http://www.i-logic.com/conecalc.htm Also, a set of "trammels" is available from several sources such as this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00004T7R6/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_2?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B00004T7R5&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_...

Re: Valveless Lockwood Pulsejet Project air intake problem
Today we cut out the flange out of exhaust tailcone. It got its steady state (with compressor sadly) quickly than before but as we stop compressor air, it stops. We will try to replace injector as you said and add 100 mm length to straight 34 mm diameter exhaust section. Try try try :? You are NOT ...

Re: Thrust per CC diameter
No worries, The caliber/recipe method produces near 14, I think Bill H. is/was building near 21. I just couldn't figure out how you got down to 9, ha I wasn't gonna reply to this thread--but I did so much research on this and found considerable success in my own little corner of the pulsejet world....

Re: augmenter for M40
Maybe look at a scaled down version of the Thunderchine augmentors. I think the tail is sufficiently expanded and mixed, but the intake probably could use some augmentation. Not sure how applicable my stuff would be to this one, the shorter tail pumps/rectifiers behave differently than what I typic...

Has anyone yet built a motor jet to specifically run from a blower?

Re: 3 inlets
Thanks Bill, I am trying to visualize that injector location. If i understand it correctly the injector is near the plane of the head plate on the inlet centerlines, pointing into the inlet with the holes 22.5 degrees off the intake centerline? I attached a sketch of how I think you described it. S...

Re: 3 inlets
Hi Pryo, Do you have fuel going into each seperate intake. That is main fuel line split into three - or do you place the fuel directely into the combustion chamber? FWIW ("for what it's worth") I thought I would relate to you the fueling (on propane) which I used quite successfully--and some other ...

Re: 3 inlets
Here is the 3 inlet engine. A word of caution here--might save you some grief later on. My experience with the (4 inlet) Kentfield was that the "head plate" (my term for the front end of the engine where the intakes are mounted) is prone to bowing outward from the heat and pressure during operation...

Thanks for the attaboy, means a lot to me.PyroJoe wrote:Sad to see you moving on. Although I am one of many, I want to thank you for sharing valuable work and contributions. Its one thing to make a engine with high peak thrust, its very much another to design one thats efficient.

Re: Garage Sale/Valveless PJ stuff
You quiting the whole pulse-jet thing? I've been out for several years now. I'm keeping the last 2 of my projects, which are quite efficient and can be run at will and will last a while. Pulsejets will remain one of my real loves, but is going to be nothing more than a distant memory as time passes...

Garage Sale/Valveless PJ stuff
Hi: I'm selling off the remaining materials I have which are suitable for, or have been used in, my valveless pulsejet projects. Please see the attached Word document for details. I'm asking $200 for the lot--I think it's a pretty good bargain. I live in Central California' I don't see how this stuf...

Re: 2D PJ Pressure analizer
Hello: I hope this post doesn't destroy the enthusiasm shown thus far in this thread. The ability to see pressure variations created by software is undeniably interesting and worthwhile. In order to be more realistic though you're going to have to introduce velocity variations due to temperature. Mo...

Probably not quite the same as your concept since only the temperature is raised, not the pressure.
OTOH it looks to work very well!
