Re: Please put your "I am new and need help" question here.

I see what I had was a 3/32" fuel stinger, bent and pinched a little. You really want a little exit hole for the fuel injector, like 1mm is the upper end, and there are several positions and angles that work and many that don't. did you see this post? http://www.pulse-jets.com/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?f...

Re: Please put your "I am new and need help" question here.

The only fuel tube I got to work on that was 1/8" dia copper, with a little bend at the end (or was it nipped at 45?) murky memory, have to read my own thread on it. Did you do the rounding of the intake edge, making the flare? Till you heat it up some, less air and less fuel until you get some real...

Loving that first animation, Zono. Wish it went longer to see the pressure peak happen again in the CC. Love the way it shows the rarefaction waves colliding in the tail, where it would love to collapse if we use too thin a material!

Re: Odds and ends

yeah, go Mark! When you settle on a good vendor, I want to send them a drawing of a pocket jet and see how much they'd charge. I might be talked into bankrolling a quantity of these little guys... noodge noodge, wink wink!

Re: Odds and ends

Hey, I was watching the budweiser snorkeler, and it runs well! Years ago I was trying meth soaked disks of fabric in the bottom to try and eliminate slosh wierdness. What do you think of a disk of sponge, again soaked, kind of acting like a wick? In other news, I did a jamjar lid out of silicone she...

I do wonder if skulls will jam. Ha. I wonder if anyone has ever said that? Surely if a plastic lemon jams…

The crucible looks great! Did you get a quantity quote? I think it is a must-have!

Re: Annular M20

Very nice build, Joost! You can ignore my youtube request for pics, obviously. should have checked here first. The intake exhaust impinging on the tail cone can't be good, either. I've made a crappy one and so did Bill Hinote. I so far have never seen a good performing annular, but it's so compellin...

Re: Mike's Build Log

I asked Axel Borg (amazingdiyprojects.com) about the fueling on his pulsejet rocket, and got this interesting reply: Hi Mike, and thanks for hosting such a great forum. Well, the fuel system challenge was really one of the most joyful and cumbersome difficulties to overcome. Since the overall struct...
