Hey all. I'm back, anyone miss me?

I'm glad to see the pulsejet site still running...and under new management and administration. I hope to be able to catch up on the old posts, and to contribute some new insights.

Hope everyone is well.

Later,

Principal Skinner

Re: re: Ancient pulse jets?

I would have to disagree on that, but its all just speculation anyway so its not like it really matters. The romans definately had the finances and precise enough building to make a pulsejet. Hell if Mike E. can make an engine out of a crushed pipe the romans, egyptians, greeks and chinese definate...

re: Ancient pulse jets?

I've often wondered this myself (ancient applications of modern technology). Personally, I can't see pj's being manufactured anytime before the early industrial age (17th-18th century). There just wasn't enough basic engineering, material science, fuel, or precision tools available to create a worka...

Re: re: Somebody Selling The FREE Pulse Jet Plans Again.....

I emailed the guy and asked him to remove any of my content. At first he was very nice and said that he would remove it, then he said it was removed, and then the next email he said: "The pulsejet calculator has been removed from the item. The two videos that you claim are yours have been removed f...

I like it. But.

How the heck do you balance something so unstable acting as a rotor :)

Why? It doesn't effect me personally, and I've been on pjs.com long enough not to get my pj's in a knot when this get's posted.

This kind of crap is repetatively posted on ebay. There's no way of stopping it.

re: Somebody Selling The FREE Pulse Jet Plans Again.....

Meh. I look at it as "if you're to lazy to do a google to find the free ones"...you get the idea. That's how I found www.pulse-jets.com back in 2001. Also, for a buck or so, there's nothing stopping any of our members posting an auction with the exact same wording, except pointing out the plans are ...

Re: re: how do i build a simple liquid or solid fuel rocket

Easy, Paul and Tom. He didn't even imply that he was using acetylene, and I find his CO2 cannister nozzle and whipped cream nitrous attempt very creative. Seems a good post for a potential contributor if you ask me! Maybe tell us something about yourself, Hornet? We're just a bit sensitive to guys ...

Tom. RE: Superhornet I'm not always the most opened minded person, so ignore me if you think I'm over stepping here. But. In this instance, I think we need to either close the thread, or close it and delete the information. This idea falls into the idiotic. This isn't experimentation, it's just stup...

A Test Tube Stirling Engine

While reading Make:Technology, I came across this link. Nice little experiment on how to make a test tube stirling motor.

re: Tell us where you live with Google Earth!

Apparently. Where I live, is a large fuzzy land mass, next to a solid blue....thing. Lake I suppose. Funny, how some areas are so well defined in Google Earth, and others look like they've been taken with Vaseline smeared on the lens.

Easier. And I'm not suggesting this is either fair, or a nice way to play. Feel free to delete this Ben, et al, if you think this is too unethical. In North America, you have to register on ebay with a credit card. Well. The same rules don't apply to continental Europe. ****** for instance. You can ...

Re: re: A "How to Bend Tubing and Pipe by Hand" we

Back to subject: If you place a coil type spring inside the tube your bending it willnot kink!! If you buy a GOOD u-bend product, it will be mandrel-bent--and they use a series of steel balls strung along a cable and pulled back and forth inside the tube, to keep the tube from kinking or collapsing...
