Hey guys!
Just found this thread, not often I check in here nowadays. I have a full project thread at the JATO forum and it is almost ready for its first test run, very exciting indeed!
Cheers!

Re: "Jet" pack
I agree with Metiz, it is difficult to understand why the guys with more money than hairs in their asses haven´t built a working jetpack already. I mean, a couple of 40lbs RC engines powering a free turbine driven ducted fan and two controllable nozzles for steering and thrust control. I mean, what´...

Re: Kriz Pulso 3
Try to lenghten the tailpipe some, that might be all that is needed to make it a runner.

Re: Kriz Pulso 3
I think I remember that Manolo built one of these a while ago, he posted some pics of it producing flames during a start test but I don´t think he ever got it to run properly.

Hey Jim, post the video as well so they won´t think that he cut the grooves with an angle grinder.

Re: Jet powered Lamborghini
Hi Anders! You will absolutely see the car run, last time I spoke with Bosse he was finishing the dashboard so he should be ready well before the race. He hasn´t had time to test the new afterburner control box that a friend built for him but if everything else fails we should be able to fix it at t...

Re: Planing for next years speed weekend, (1/2 scale Argus)
I think that Erik is more interested in designing a new larger engine than just copying his old one, he has come up with several design changes that will make this engine both easier to maintain and build along with a much improved fuel system so there would be little fun in repeating old mistakes b...

Re: Jet turbine Observations for Pulse Jets
Interesting observations!
But I cannot agree with you that pulsejets are simpler than gas turbines, a GT is all about temps and flow which can be (roughly) understood simply by looking at the parts. Try the same on a pulsejet with its frequences and waves...

Re: Planing for next years speed weekend, (1/2 scale Argus)
I´ve been waiting for this thread to start! :D This video of his 350 pound engine is interesting, the heating pattern starts immediately after the transition cone and reaches all the way back to the tailpipe flare. Why isn´t the CC and TC-cone heated more? Probably has something to do with internal ...
