Re: re: Space Lift Tests Progressing
Why in the ocean? Wouldn't the top of a mountain in Africa or South America be better? 6200 MPH!! OK doesn't ribbon usually twist? This may make problems with providing power to the robots (if they use photo cells for power) and could limit their speed. No one owns the ocean...so you don't have to ...

Re: Plastic Soda Bottle + Alcohol = Rocket
You mention two holes, one in the bottom but nothing about the second hole. Where is the second hole placed? JW Hi John, I used a two(2)-litre soda bottle, maybe thats where the 2 hole idea came from? Anyway you drill one hole in the bottom of the bottle and reinforce/insulate/line the bottle cap w...

Sharpening Step-Drills...How?
Help!
Does anyone know how to sharpen the steps of a step drill? Are there online do-it-yourself directions somewhere?

Re: PulseJets illegal in Canada?
Hopefully someone out there knows the answer... I was at my local RC airplane store today, where I got into a conversation about PulseJets. One of the people I was speaking with stated that it is illegal to fly PulseJet powered aircraft in Canada. Does anyone know if the above statement is true or ...

AHAHahahaaa...(While I was doing this, a neighbor walked up, and I just want to say that if you think it's easy to explain why you're squatting in your driveway, in front of a set of burning underwear, surrounded by hair spray bottles, holding a Barbie doll in your hand, then you are mistaken.)

Re: Spark-Plug threads?
I managed to source out the CM-6 plug today and picked up a couple...unfortunately at $10.39 CDN each!
The only place in my area that carried them was a NAPA autoparts outlet.

Re: Spark-Plug threads?
Believe it or not, www.sparkplugs.com I suggest the cheap and small NGK CM-6. It has a 10mm thread that you can tap through a thin wall with a 3/8-16 for a self locking, sealing tight fit. Works wonderfully. If you're welding, of course get a 10mm nut to weld on. If all you can find is zinc plated ...

Spark-Plug threads?

Re: My Homemade Pulsejet
Hi mag,
A possible inexpensive source for valve material is the coil spring inside of tape measures. The ones I have found are approx. .006" thick and up to 1-1/2 inches wide.
Dunno if this helps.
P.S. Thats a good looking engine you have there.
