One thing you have to keep in mind is that a long skinny bullet is quite difficult to stabilize in flight. Consequently you would require a tighter turn on the rifling and increased drag in the barrel, ultimately nullifying the effect you are trying to achieve. Achieving very high velocities from a ...

google earth doesn't give high enough resolution- you really need a small plane for this sort of work

re: problems with craftjet injector
I was never able to get mine running on liquid fuel, but it ran great on acetylene directly injected into the combustion chamber.
hey what version of Solidworks are you running? that looks like some nice work.
you should post an e-drawing if possible

hehe, that's the first time I've seen that picture outside of 4chan. are you secretly a /b/tard? if you have no idea what I'm talking about, then um, pretend I didn't say anything, and I'll drift back to the shadows now...El-Kablooey wrote:here's a good example of recoil.

Re: re: Gas (Tesla) Turbine started
On just one last note, i did find an interesting alternative "use" for the turbine. A hands off spinning top. Take your stack and shaft out of the housing, sit it up on a smooth surface like a spinning top, and wind it up with some air. Once its spinning, you can let it free, and speed it right up ...

nicely done!
Im allways suprised when someone gets one of these to run correclty, since I had such a tough time developing the prototype. I guess once yoe hit the right dimensions it turns out to be a pretty forgiving design.

thanks! it's nice to see that people are still looking at my old stuff and getting something out of it. Unfortunately I havent really made any new contributions to the forum in almost a year, due to "college life" but hopefully I can start working on jets again sometime in the near future...

what would really be amazing is counter-rotating compressor wheels, but this extremely hard to engineer. the bennifits of such a system would be worth the effort in my opinion.
