Water Bombers

Myself I like the 415's, there a tad small but have excellent maneuverability. The one that nailed me was a MARS, those things are freaken huge, I use to live about 50km from their homebase. I once saw an Ruskie IL-76, now that's a big-ass water bomber, it's the biggest water bomber to come out so f...

Big Booms

We are just finishing a couple more acquasitions at the moment and will be changing our name probably some time in August. For most of the time the work is "standby", usually when service companies are pumping acid or extremely flammable products into the well. Basically you sit there with hose in h...

you're warped? I spent 2 hours of my summer talking to a giant talking pepper today outside pizza hut. Ended up doing the can can with her, much to the delight of the tourist population of cambridge. Well if you were intoxicated at the time then that's ok, but if not, welcome to the warped club. I ...

Mark, I regret to inform you but most of those objects as displayed look like either dildo's or penis enlargers, some appear to have optional French-Tickler attachments as well. I'm not saying this a bad thing, the guys get to play with a jet without their O'ladies biatching at them and ladies exper...

PDF's

When PDF's are scanned in they are essentially an image file like a picture. I would say anything published pre-1995 would be an image as these places probably find it easier to scan paper documents then flip/flop around like a beached whale trying to find the actual computer document files. Imagine...

Free Toys

I use this software and others like it for designing kinetic devices.

It is called freecad....and it is free. Free usually means spyware so keep an eye on it if you want to play.

I find servos to be probably one of the best things to use in this kind of work. These guys sell a bunch of servo based devices: http://www.lynxmotion.com Have a look at their polypod as it is segmented with independent modules. ---------------------- These guys sell mem-metal electric pistons: http...

I remembered

I just remembered I started on a set of pulse jet equations quite some time ago and never got it finished. I posted what I have here for you guys: http://www.rescyou.com/pulsemath/ Most of it is based around the accurate estimation of intake hole areas. I think you can see from the example that the ...
