re: How to make it rain on a cloudy day with a 75 lb lockwoo
It isnt an illusion Eric. Standing behind a jet is much more relaxing than standing behind it. A couple of years ago at an airshow we had a Cessna Dragonfly present. It was a total work of art in flight to say the least, flying upside down at less than 200 feet over the airfield at some ridiculous s...

Do we over analyse things at times?
Just something on a lighter note, The Lone Ranger and Tonto went camping in the desert. After they got their tent all set up, both men fell sound asleep. Some hours later, Tonto wakes the Lone Ranger and says, "Kemo Sabe, look towards sky, what you see?" The Lone Ranger replies, "I see millions of s...

So, a PJ can cause it to rain. Up untill now the only other sure method was to wash your car.
If everyone decides to get a PJ the detergent companies will be hunting you down Eric.

re: metal jam jar experiments
Well, I just killed a lot of time reading 21 pages in this post and thought I might add my 2 cents worth before I nod off as its getting late here. Someone said a few pages back words to the effect of 'I didnt realise the shape of the bottom of the pot was so important' I dont believe it is. I have ...

Im sure Graham has put a lot of effort into modelling on U-flow and its good to see results like tha...

Hi all, heres the news in a nutshell format, 1) I was sacked today for not working to a lower standard that was expected and for questioning nepotism in the workplace. (I have a job lined up now with a fire protection company :-) ) 2) All this news of visiting the US is a real blast, Rossco yohoo'd ...

Hi Bruno. Ive been chatting with Rosco and was going up to Bribane soon anyway so we will be able to meet and compare notes. We have been Yahoo chatting which is handy as we are in the same time zone. (BTW, the new Yahoo messenger V.6 has a IM environment called Doodle, which is a two way white boar...

Rosco, it's great to see that you are getting the joy out of it all to keep you going. Pity you arent a bit closer. The wife and I have met a great cpl in Bris and are preparing to sell and move that way. Might end up at Mackay yet? We'll see what happens. Either way, it would be great to be able to...

Hi all. Nice reminder of a good simple clean cut method Grant. TY. One thing you might like to try is some metho in an expansion chamber as per jam jar method if you have one handy. Probably wont pulsate, but will let you hear the nozzling choking effects at each end, and the amazingly long time dif...

What can I say Mike apart from LMAO at the chassis collapsing. Im 5'7'' so youd need to lower the water level if I was to use it for a hot tub, but then again, if more than one person was in it I guess youd need to calculate body mass versus displacement etc. By the look of the cold environment ther...
