Re: Variable frequency valveless pulsejet

It's a sketch so it's not to scale, the chains would have to be longer and should not be turned so far that the chain attachments would reach it. The injectors are attached to the intake sleave and the intake to the outtake via the chain. the opposite gears should be linked and the axles should be m...

Re: Variable frequency valveless pulsejet

You could maybe attach the fuel injectors to the sleeve intakes so the injector depth and intake length vary at the same time. If you rig it right you could also have a sleeve on the exhaust that moves along with them but i don't know whether shortening the intakes and exhaust at the same time would...

Re: Variable frequency valveless pulsejet

The trombone one is new to me, the exhaust tube may however not be adjustable if it does run for a longer period of time due to heat expansion. I thought the fit would have to be somewhat tight, i'm not looking to build one myself right now, i'm mixed up in a different project but i do like the idea...

Re: Variable frequency valveless pulsejet

I don't know the frequency range you would get from regulating gas throughput, in my own experience gas sure does make a difference but it would at max have an amplitude of 20 hertz, i can fiddle with mine to get a more specific range of frequencies. Changing the exhaust/intake length might have som...

Re: PyroJoes Recipe for Beginners

Based upon your designs, i designed a pulsejet with 4 intake's, as seen in the image included, after hopefully getting the version underneath working i'll bend the intake pipes to the front. I'm not sure whether this will work if someone could please point out any mistakes that would be very appreci...

Re: Lockwood-H pulsejet with variations will it work?

I've attempted to run it with tipping the gas, but it flamed out unfortunately.

Argus AS 014 valve

I'm planning on building a full size AS 014 pulsejet in the near future. I haven't been able to find the exact designs i need for the valve but i think i've figured out how thick the steel should be (i used the size of the valve and a drawing of the valve which showed how many reed valves there were...

i've presented it at my school (it was for a school project) so i was able to run it for a longer time, it ran pretty good till my tank froze over and it flamed out.

Re: Lockwood-H pulsejet with variations will it work?

By doubling the gas input and an extra leafblower (replaced mine with one that varied in strength) I GOT IT STARTED. It works perfect now, i couldn't run it for too long because of my neighbours (did it in my backyard). Vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2gkdweAOs00 Thanks to you Mike and Metiz, T...

Re: Lockwood-H pulsejet with variations will it work?

Update again, I got it running for a bit 10-15 sec but it stopped i think this was due to being out of gas not completely sure.
I think i'm gonna have to get even more gas tomorrow, probably fill up my big tank.

Re: Lockwood-H pulsejet with variations will it work?

Update, Got it working on full power with more gas, it still didn't sustain though. The force was great enough to blow back my leafblower.
