Re: 50 mph ramjet???

The 65mph quoted would be your total exhaust veleocity, therefore only a small increase over freestream speed.. Personally I'd remove the centrebodies and reduce the engine diameter, this will reduce drag and still give you the same cross sectional intake area. The way I approach these things is to ...

Re: 50 mph ramjet???

Just a couple of notes on your design.. Looking at the mass continuity accross the engine and some rough mathematics, it seems you only need an exit velocity of 29 m/s (65mph) in order produce 30lbs of thrust, this is based on gross thrust and neglecting engine drag. In fact assuming ideal condition...

Re: Msc in uk

I believe it is something like 70% of graduates leave university and are employed with six months of graduating within the engineering disciplines. From my experience about half the graduates who did a BEng in aerospace/mechanical engineering already had job offers in engineering before graduating..

I'm from the UK and just finished my third year in aerospace engineering (MEng) and hopefully going onto a PhD next year.. Theres loads of uni choices, it depends on what area you would like to specialise in, but any uni that is a member of the Russell Group is a good place to start.. Liverpool has ...

Hi There...

Hi everyone.. I've only just found this forum and theres loads of good stuff here!! Anyway I thought you might be interested in my latest project, something along the lines of a high subsonic ramjet engine leading onto to a supersonic design further on in the project.. I started a blog a few days ag...
