Re: Locky Kazoo Valved Engine

In reality the name needed to be Kazoo Valved Engine. The locky is for lockwood engine, I read that topic a good time ago. And didn't think very right when writing the topic. I´m using a 2´ light electrical conduit. use a piece of wood to limit how much i can crush, and hammer the thing down. Not re...

Re: Rotary Valve Pulse-Jets

Annodo SR has thinking in using the hc08, i like the arm7 LPC series and have used it a lot before. For a test rig a microphone is like same-thing as a knock sensor of a vehicle. As for the pressure sensor. there are a lot of sensors that can withstand this application. only need to stay away from t...

Locky Kazoo Valved Engine

Hello all, I do not have a weld machine so started solve my problem of having a working pulsejet anyway. Can crush, drill and cut metal... I thinking of using the locky kazoo style (http://www.pulse-jets.com/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=262&st=0&sk=t&sd=a) to make a valved engine. Using a 4´or 2´eletr...

Re: Rotary Valve Pulse-Jets

Annodomini, Yeah, the valve can be 2 discs with holes like rotating a strong petal valve in its own position. or use a very non restricting valve like the paper Mark posted. But motor controled. Its is probably true that it can be controlled by a 4mhz controller. if you use a pressure sensor with so...

Re: Rotary Valve Pulse-Jets

SR Hello I have been thinking in something identical you did, do google some material and find your post in the forum. I´m graduated in automation and control and know a lot of ECU and other control systems. In this forum my only contribution is a 2d pressure simulation software. http://www.pulse-je...

Re: 2D PJ Pressure analizer

Sorry about the lost of online files. I´m reposting the files on 4shared and in the forum. I will be creating a page with the progress on the new version. The file i´m uploading have all the executables from this development, the usefull ones is the 2dflow.exe and the 2dflow-0021.exe http://www.4sha...

Re: How Can I Make a "Slow and Soft" Sugar Rocket?

Hello, I´m still testing things like different proportions of the mix and casings for my designs. I made a video in my first attempt and i get a 40 seconds burn time (the video burn is open air, and about of a inch of rcandy), I already put this mix in a casing with a very small aperture to build up...

Re: 2D PJ Pressure analizer

Zono, Thanks for following my project, and making things flow!! The colors work this way: In the sample image the center value in green and red is on zero = zero, so if the speed is -1 the value of color will be 255. -2 = 254 (gives a good contrast without looking the rgb of the pixels) strong red a...

Re: 2D PJ Pressure analizer

Zono,

I corrected a buffer that has minor than needed, I´m surprised that i do not get a buffer-overrun in my computer...

put some buffers in dynamic allocation too.

If you can test this correction i´m grateful.

My first step for a rocket

I was trying making some rcandy fuel in the weekend. Made of 60% kno3 and 40% sugar. (lots of places say to try this proportion first) 200g kno3 133g sugar my kno3 come from a farm supply store, and it have a red color. If i wash the grains become white and the red color stays in the water. i tested...

I was trying something different in the weekend, some video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sj1mhq7kMbc My first try of the rcandy rocket fuel. Well i ...

Re: 2D PJ Pressure analizer

Zono, I started to do that, fill the engine interior completely. (it is nice to create jam jar animations) I will post the version 0.02 here, but i stop working on it. (if you are not updating with the previous version please create a subdirectory called "\anim", this version doesn't have the bat an...

Hello Johansson, Your rocket is really great, i'm amazed by this. i was thinking in what point the reaction from all that thust going? the cone section? Can the tubbing survive if you go all way up to 100bar? or did you fixed the nose to the structure? (if it is the reaction point) (EDIT: Hey is thi...

Re: 2D PJ Pressure analizer

Zono, I used sourceforge before, i have a little things made for opensource community (sis5597 linux driver, some mplayer filters). Never archived a popular software but anyways some of my software achievements. hehe I made a sound codec VHZ (not fft based), a crypto system, a image recognition engi...

Re: 2D PJ Pressure analizer

Zono, Thanks again for your reply. Will be good to use your expertise, i´m running some simulations and organizing the code to be understandable next week. I will probably put this thing as open-source as soon it become modular. Hinote, my final objective is a tool easy to use, just draw, drop and r...
