Re: PULSEJET SILVERJET PROBLEMS....
I am not 100% sure what you are asking. I think your jet only runs when you blow air into it. Hose to fuel tank needs to be short. Fuel tank OUTLET needs to be about 15 mm below engine INLET. Fuel injecter might be bad. Fuel injector hole might be plugged or have dirt in hole. Reed valves might be d...

Re: O.S. replacement valves
it comes with 2. i would like quite a few so i don't have to worry about finding more. they last about 30 min each right? If you send me the head with the reed valve retainer I can make a new better design retainer and the reed valves will last 40 hours. Only problem I am moving my shop across town...

Re: Looking for Reed valves for Dynajet
Hello, All, A word of caution may be in order for anyone who intends to use tin snips for cutting reed valves from spring steel. Such cuts usually deform the metal near the cuts and interfere with their ability to seal. All valves made by that method MUST be flattened and their edges smoothed so th...

Re: Which fuel produces the most thrust?
I have never used an augmentor.
What is the correct way to build one?
What is the correct way to attach it to the engine?
How do you determine correct size for each engine?

Which fuel produces the most thrust?
I have been doing a lot of reading and collected a lot of information. This information is not very clear. I know race car engines running on alcohol produce more power than gas the information below must be for a given quantity weight of fuel. Race cars have to burn more alcohol to get more power. ...

Pulso-1 Plans metric does not = inches ???
I am looking at the Pulso 1 plans. Demensions are all in mm, the inch numbers written next to the metric numbers are not equal to the metric numbers. What is the deal with that? Example tail pipe ID is listed as 45 and the OD is listed as 48, I assume that is mm. 45mm = 1.771" 48mm = 1.889" 1 53/64 ...

Re: Best Fuel
I have done some experements with fuel. If you pressurize a soft drink with CO2 the liquid is adsorb the CO2. If you pressurize gasoline with acetylene it will adsorb the acetylene just like the soft drink does. So I got to wondering if other fuels would do that too??? You do not want to use acetyle...

Argus Reed Valve Pics
This is a small 3" square argus valve I built for a 10 lb thrust pulse jet engine that I built. The engine fired up real easy on 2 psi propane gas and I throttled it up to 30 psi. It stired up a pretty good tornado of dust in my work shop and blew stuff off the work bench. The reed valves only laste...

Re: How to Design Build and Test Pulse Jet Engine.
That is a cool looking engine. If I had seen it on ebay I would have bid on it. I check ebay from time to time. I have not been on ebay all summer. It is hard to tell from the picture but it looks like the tip end of the exhaust is smaller. The Germans learned the combustion pressure has to be no le...

How to Design Build and Test Pulse Jet Engine.
I have been building pulse jet engines for 32 years. Now that I am retired I can build them full time. I have a book, english translation of the 10+ years of research the Germans did to learn how to build a working pulse jet engine. The engines are a lot more complicated than they seem. The entire e...
