Re: valveless + forced air?

So I got to reading other parts of the forum and I found this. A ramjet ONLY works with smooth, fast air at high volume flowing into the intake. And, for it to develop internal pressure for thrust, it needs a properly designed diffuser section and a relatively unrestricted exhaust passage. L Cottril...

Re: valveless + forced air?

haha yeah I know its a really shitty jet, but I do not have access to the necessary equipment as of yet to build a respectable one and I am just experimenting right now. With the addition of the compressed air though it puts out a pretty good amount of thrust. Probably about a pound or two though I ...

valveless + forced air?

Is there a specific name for a pulse jet engine that will only run continuously as long as air is being forced into the intake? Cuz I got it my simple crude pulse jet made out of plumbing parts from home depot to run, but only if I continuously hold an air compressor to the intake.

Thunderchine's appetite is
equivalent to 1200 ml/min (petrol) or 3.788403 Gallons per minute

this website is a great tool to use for volumetric conversions and other conversions of one does not already know the math.

so I know that they have solid fuel and liquid fuel rockets, but I have never heard of a rocket that uses vaporous gasses. does such a thing even exist or did I just invent a new rocket?

Re: What would happen if...

So lets say I found the correct ration of propane to oxygen, then theoretically couldn't this engine work in a zero atmosphere environment such as space? The gases inside would obviously burn a lot hotter because of the oxygen, probably hot enough to melt the engine. So is there any technology out t...

which pulse jet design puts out

the most thrust relative to size and weight? My name is Troy and I live in Boise, Idaho. I am new to this whole pulse jet business but it has me extremely intrigued and I want to learn as much about them as I can. I recently built myself a rather crude lockwood hiller design with 50 dollars and plum...

You were to add oxygen to your propane fuel when you feed it into the pulse jet?
