Re: Show me a Useful Valveless Pulse Jet Engine.

Is there something I'm missing here, beck technologies have pulse jets with down to 1.2 TSFC and the concorde at cruise has 1.195 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thrust_specific_fuel_consumption and I think thats around where military jets are too, more speed means less efficient. And jets are very ine...

Re: Site layout

The top frame and menue stays there on every page, and it takes up room, and it stays there when clicking links to other sites. Right now it's also got the bottom half of the menu selections cut off. there's no ads on this I dont know why it has to be there. I think a lot more people would visit if ...

welding with out warping?

I'm building a turbine like a fransis water turbine, or centrifugal fan, or tesla turbine but with fins. I wanted to use 20 gauge Stainless steal but the shop said they can't weld that with out warping it. I want to weld some 20G fins onto a 20G disc at 90 degrees. I see that many pulse jets are wel...

Re: pulse detonation valveless gasturbine

I'd believe it. Look at the water turgo's they have a slot in the pellers so the jet can get in closer to them. When the peller is closer to the jet it works hugly more efficient, the problem with impulse turbines is the peller has to move away. A pulse detonation timed for when the peller is closes...

Rocket turbine engine

International Automated Systems, came out with a steam turbine that they claim is 75% efficient with about 250C steam. The design is not shown, but I think it's basically a Hero's engine.

A video of it running is in the side menu

Heat resistant Material

Is SS 304 resistant enough to make a continuous - flying pulsejet? Tungsten melts at 3400C

http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/melti ... d_860.html

But tungsten rusts at 400C.
