it wouldent work to use a webcam, it is sensitive to IR light in the lower IR spectrum but not to heat, heat is in the high IR spectrum and you could probably never modify a webcam to see heat unless you replaced the CCD.

I'm no graphic designer, but I would say get rid of the white backrounds
in the ads, just continue the blue and black gradient through the whole
thing.

Thanks for the replies everybody! I'll look around for diffuser shapes. I still havent found any brazing rods! I guess I'll have to order them online. I made some modifications so that it would be possible to braze the whole thing in one joint (not including mounts) I took some pictures of it but th...

I just dont want to braze the wrong...

Thanks for the replies!
I am still waiting to get some brazing rods so I havent really progressed at all with the design.
I was wondering about the aluminum supports, will the braze attach them?
also, the brass connections and fittings for fuel, how do I attach those?

Any suggestions ANYONE?

Well I was actually just trying to soder a peice of aluminum pipe with a small cut in the side of it. I recently went to a large "Trash and Treasure" sale (mostly trash) and found a pair of diffusers for 10 cents and they happen to be just the right size that I could use one of them to replace the o...

Thanks for the feedback everybody! Sorry I have not replied sooner, I have been pretty busy but I figured out how to hold togeather the CC and diffuser with a single braze insted of two whitch would have not worked anyway. I had to reduce the diameter so that the flameholder would not fall into the ...

Thanks for the feedback guys! I dont think I will try to use that epoxy again, it tends to undergo chemical changes in high heat and turn red and flaky. I think I might be able to get an Oxy-Acetylene brazing torch from the home depot for 40 dollars, would that allow me to have a much higher tempert...

Hey gerat idea!
How exactly do you braze?
Ive got a Mapp gas torch and I think I can get some brazing rods.
Wha type of rod do you recommend? I might be able to put the whole thing togeather with brazing if that is possible, it would be cheaper than buying more epoxy and would work better too.
