Blower Jet?
We have all seen the ram-jet guys use leaf blowers to run thier engines and show thrust from the ramjet. Has anyone yet built a motor jet to specifically run from a blower? Some of the blowers now are boasting fairly high airspeed numbers, so why cant we use one as the motor section? Any ideas you c...

Re: Hello again PJ peoples!
Wow, Im a movie star! I did get it running down the airstrip a couple of times, then sold it to a guy who ripped the engine off it to put a piston engine etc. in it. Last I heard he sold the motor off to a mate of his. We were ok during the floods, thanks for asking! Got flooded in for 4 days ...

Re: Ozpulse, Symmetry series.
Just thought I would let you guys know that I have listed this complete setup on Ebay for sale if anyone was interested?? I wasnt sure what price to put on it so I just added up what it cost me and added $50 for my time. The running stand could be used for many motors of course and having the igniti...

Re: Ozpulse, Symmetry series.
Thanks guys! I do indeed intend to keep going with these design engines. The local hobby shop wants a couple to put in there for sale, they want them ready to go with ignition units etc. so I guess I will have my work cut out for me over the next couple of weeks! :? But of course there is always tim...

Re: Ozpulse, Symmetry series.
Ok! Shot a short Vid. of one of the first runs . It starts easily, and seems to have a decent amount of thrust. Though I still have to get it onto some scales and tune the injector position. All the welds are stainless mig welded and smoothed back so you cant actually see the joins 8) , This is with...

Ozpulse, Symmetry series.
Have built a new engine, have run it at home tonight and seems to run well. Need to do some thrust tests as yet hopefully tommorow. I have shortened the nozzle which also opened the exhaust up a lot. I have taken some ideas from other engines on the forum but stuck with my exhaust design.

Re: Mike's Build Log
Another nice build Mike! 8) As usual! One thing I noticed with the stepped pipes on some of my experimentals ( one of my squid ones was not much over 1/2 inch ) was that it gave the engines two distinct running modes . On some, especially if the step made of a nice flare to a larger pipe on the exha...

Re: Question?
I thought more along the lines of the water pumped in a larger volume giving a slight moment before it superheats expanding enough to shut off the oneway feed valve exiting the nozzle creating a vacume inside the expansion chamber for the next load of water to dump in? I thought it would run more li...
